Agree 100%, different reasons but equally disastrous presidencies .

One thing is for sure, this fad won't go away easily. Breweries are loving the fact that these beers are so popular and they can brew them with a light, low cost grain bill and still charge the same price as a full on IPA.
-
But what if you want IPA level hops at a 4.5% abv? Call it a low gravity IPA or an unbalanced pale ale. You're right it's an invented style, but I think it has it's place under the banner of just good beer if done right.

Fat Tire is a flagship beer for them and all that, but yeah it's way down the list of what you should be trying from NB. Ranger is a solid IPA. Shift is a solid session/lawnmower pale lager with some flavor Slow Ride is one of the best session IPA's out there Hopefully they'll bring them back but the fall seasonals Hoptober/Red Hoptober were just awesome. It's disappointing they've gone with the dime a dozen pumpkin beer for their fall seasonal as of late. and of course La Folie is a must if you're a fan of sours.

Those conclusions being largely based upon on your partisan leanings. IMO history will judge W and Obama in an equally poor light. I just finished reading this book. It certainly makes reading this thread and the partisanship within make a whole lot more sense. The Righteous Mind

I might have to go against my traditional rooting algorithm and pull for SJ. I normally don't want any cup-less team winning before we get ours, but the Pens just bring out the SabreTooth73 in me.

I did not know that, nice. The Odds, Blue Rodeo, 54-40, Spirit of the West, Rush..damn I might as well be Canadian if defined by my musical tastes. -

I think Canadian radio stations are mandated to play a certain percentage of Canadian artist music on a daily basis. It is a good thing, I always listened to 97.7, 102.1 and 107.7 more than 97 rock or 103.3. it's how I learned about great bands like the Hip, the headstones, Sloan, our lady peace etc. -

It's gonna be an expensive ticket, checked vividseats just now for the 8/10 show and floor seats in first 10 rows going for $900-ish, lower bowl $300-400 and nose bleeds around $200. I'm still going to make every effort to go. -
Let them. Just have a huge banner of Jack and Samson for them to look at while they celebrate their consolation prize.

Yes, Harry Sinden is Gord's godfather. NOIS "Killerwhaletank" is my favorite live bootleg song of all time, and like you said the band is right in sync with his ranting tangents wherever they may come in a song. IMO Gord is among the greatest frontmen in the history of rock music. "GREED!! 100 year old eye jealousy!" Here are the farewell tour dates. Canada only so no Buffalo date unfortunately, will have to try for Hamilton or Toronto. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/tragically-hip-tour-dates-1.3598795 -

I've also heard him replace "Leafs" with "Sabres" when playing 50 Mission Cap in Buffalo.. The last goal he ever scored, won the Sabres the Cup..... -

Great review by Sully, I went to the makeup date of this show. I'm pulling out all the stops to make at least one of the farewell concerts this summer. -

Spent my lunch break listening to Hip hockey songs.. Fifty Mission Cap: Bill Barilko disappeared that summer...the last goal he ever scored won the Leafs the cup.... Fireworks: You were loosening my grip on Bobby Orr.. Heaven is a Better Place Today: Here's a glue guy....(for Atlanta Thrasher Dan Snyder) Lonely End Of The Rink: oh to join the rush, as the season builds.. Nautical Disaster: a song with no hockey references, but I'll always think of it as the song played at Marine Midland Arena during a break when a trainer tended to an injured player. So many life and concert memories with the Hip....this sucks. -

Crushing. What horrible news. Just listened to Trouble at the Henhouse in its entirety on the porch last night. -
I'd say there's a better chance of Pegula becoming a Churchill-esque orator, than finding accountability in government on any level.

Worse...Canadian.

FWIW, I've asked my brother in law with the Ottawa connection if he was aware of any aversion GMTM might have towards russkis. Answer: No.

No one in particular, just got a sense that the generational label was maybe expanding a bit. I guess that will continue as long as the Toronto media keeps banging the drum.- 456 replies

Yeah 120 minute is a snifter beverage. And 120 is one of the few beers that still can't be sold in NC. When they raised the limit from 6% several years back it only went to 15%, so no 120 here in NC.

If the Sabres didn't pull out all the stops and tank so disgracefully maybe we're talking about a Draisaitl/Strome core for our rebuild. Certainly nothing to sneeze at and the future would still look bright, but I like that we left nothing under our control to chance. I guess I can live with knowing the Sabres played Pat Kaleta at center and John Scott on D. F the Leafs and their knob gobbling media lap dogs, at the end of the day I'll take our two tank prizes over theirs.- 456 replies

I thought the consensus on generational was Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, and McDavid potentially with Eichel, Matthews, Stamkos, Tavares, Kane et al being just a notch below.- 456 replies

I was comparing prizes from the "tank" seasons, which were offset by one season. Nylander will compare with who we pick 8th this year.- 456 replies
