  1. Its starting to feel like the Cozens and Mitts trades before, both of those, there was a ton of chatter before it happened, and in both cases KA said we arent actively shopping them, then boom traded, so its possible Just dont know who Tampa would offer? Id take Cernak all day but he has a no move, we could welcome back Hagel, he has no trade protection at all, Cirelli but he has a no move as well
  2. From another board: This morning on NHL Radio Scott Laughlin (morning show host) said he heard on a "reputable podcast" that Peterka for Necas is a real possibility. Anyone hear the podcast he's referring to? To me thats a trade that makes a lot of sense. If Peterka wants out of Buffalo its hard to find a better spot than riding shotgun with Mac. Meanwhile Buffalo wants another center and Necas wants to be a center Dont shoot the messenger! I could get behind this deal if there is more to it, Colorado needs to cut salary, so add Ross Colton or Josh Manson to this as well, I know they will want to add Miles Wood and becasue he is from Buffalo and played for Lindy I could see KA agreeing to take him
  3. Ya Nashville has said they are okay being bad and taking a step back to get better in the long run unfortunatley there roster just isn’t good and most of the big name guys have no move clauses L’Heureux would be an amazing pick up! I’d probably want at least Lauzon as well for the back end, he led the nhl in hits multiple years, and then what about ROR he is the only vet that doesn’t have a no move and would balance cap slightly I would personally be totally fine with him coming back for that hybrid 2/3 center between him and Mcloed we still would have a gaping hole on the defense beside Power, because even if we did get Lauzon he is best as a 5/6
  4. ya Kyrou would be a big get i know we are giving up the younger player but man Kyrou is a great player
  5. Peterka for Crouse and Kesserling, I’d certainly do that type of move or that exact move Id even add to it if Utah thought they needed a bit more
  6. I dont know a ton about Rust but he has 3 more years at 5.125 million, he is 33. Its hard because is his success off Crosby or is he a strong veteran presence? I do like adding a vet forward to this team although that would have to mean one of Quinn or Peterka will be moving As for Tuch, if its 8 million, sign that all day and laugh 5-6 years at 8 million is perfect Id be really interested in others thoughts on this. Here is Rusts scouting report: Is a smallish but tenacious winger who plays a sound two-way game. His speed helps make him a consistent offensive threat as well as someone who can be trusted when his team is trying to hang onto a lead. He is a tenacious forechecker who can also kill penalties. Though he will never be an elite scorer, he can put the puck in the net on a regular basis. Injuries are a factor here. Here is Rackel: Is not the scorer he was while posting back-to-back 30-goal seasons before turning 25, but he is still capable of putting the puck in the net and is a solid point producer who can play anywhere up front. He is more of a finisher than a passer and is at his best when playing with a good playmaker. A lack of optimum size continues to be a drawback; he has never been a physical player and can be pushed off the puck at times. These just feel like more undersized forwards, especially Rackel, at least Rust is a penalty killer and forechecks
  7. Ya if they want Peterka they can have him for Cuylle and Schnieder, id even add to that if they wanted
  8. Interesting! Id be interested in moving him if we got Adam Klapka and Kevin Bahl back in the trade Bahl is 24 6'6 230lbs right shot defensman who is an RFA, perfect partner for Owen Power, he was the main piece in the Jacob Markstrom deal from New Jersey so Lindy would know him Klapka is 24 6'8 235 lbs 4th line forward that hits everything that moves, he was one of Calgary's best players down the stretch, they just resigned him at 2 years 1.25 per year This is the kind of deal I would take for Peterka, it sends him out west and it solves so many holes for us. This deal would also bring back minimal cap so we could then go free agent hunting if we wanted to to get a vet to take Peterkas spot. The Byram deal would also open up cap that could be used elsewhere to add vets and salary to really help this team improve!
  9. Im nervous about Rackell or Rust, Rust has been hurt a ton, and they ride shotgun to Crosby so I wonder if there performance is riding his coat tails. Rust seems a bit injury prone too, but if they can come in and have the Zucker affect im all for it
  10. This is well thought out and might be very true. I still think we aqcuire a pick in the Byram deal and deal 9 for immediate help now, so we could be picking late in the draft, i do think it will be a dman there as well, you are selling me on a left shot d though
  11. Its funny Pitts roster is so bad and they have so many guys with no moves or partial no moves. I think id be willing to take a shot at Ryan Graves, as Lindy has coached him before, so if he signed off on it, but only if its Sammy going the other way, dont want 2 crap contracts on the back end
  12. I like a bunch of these deals Lafferty for Forbert would be a good swap, gives us a depth tough guy and Lafferty can go back to Vancouver where he had the most success I have said many times Sammy to Philly for Hathaway or DLO makes so much sense Byram to Chicago makes sense too, and Murphy would be the guy id want back but I think he has a partial no move I think Quinn for Hague just makes all the sense in the world casue Vegas needs cheap scorers, I think they could do better the Ryjo for Hague Hague also will sign in the 4-5 million range, if it was 2.75 Vegas would keep that all day I like Sturm but I think Nate Bastian will be a free agent add, he apparently was one of Lindys favorites on New Jersey
  13. Krieder has agreed to waive his no move and is being traded to Anaheim, hopefully this will start a cascade of moves
  14. Kevin Weekes has posted that there is good interest in Byram from plenty of teams, so hopefully that helps with offers
  15. Philly makes sense but I dont see the fit on return, sure Tyson Forester would be a great return but i doubt they move him We could use Hathaway or DLO for the 4th line Seeler and Sanheim both have no moves with Sanheim blocking a trade to st louis last year so forsure he would block one here unless we want Risto back I just dont see the fit I do see a Philly trade that would work being Samulssen for Hathaway or DLO, get Sammy to the org where his dad works, they apparently were interested last year, and just getting Hathaway or DLO accounts for his low value, but also gives us something we are missing for the 4th line, and frees up a bit of cap space in the process
  16. If JJ is staying, which makes sense, and signing a bridge, which also makes sense, it has to be Quinn out the door, there just isnt room for him Kulich Benson and Peterka, and I do think Quinn could get you a nice defensman like a Hague or Kesserling or the like The bridge deal i like too cause that should open cap space for us to make additions elsewhere
  17. Good for you kid! See this is another reason I dont have a problem moving Peterka to get a Robertson or someone else, we have young pieces coming if we need them.
  18. Calgary makes a ton of sense for either Rasmus Anderson or Kevin Bahl, I doubt Weegar, but you never know Rangers make sense too if they can move out Krieder, Schnieder for Byram as the base makes sense, I still think K'andre Miller for Sammy can make sense too
  19. Ya I mean this just screams San Jose, if they walk away with Misa at 2 and then add Byram for there defense thats a great start to an off season for them
  20. I truly think he will win one if not multiple of these If he was healthy all year he may have been in the top 3 Get him and Power consistent defensive partners and Dahlin could win this next year
  21. I mean ya, he sounds like an amazing player, I doubt Chicago would move him though, as it sounds like he is gonna be a big part of there future
  22. Im hoping thats where Jarmo can help, cause he will know how teams tick and where teams can be pushed or not, I am more confident in this with him there
  23. Yes but I just have no interest in us getting younger and adding a player who isnt ready. If Byram is going an older more established defensive defensman needs to replace him
  24. I think Byram as a 23 year old potential first line top pair defensman is more valuable then just Ferraro, as he is 26 had 17 points last year and was a -23, albeit on a crappy San Jose team I do really feel that the value of Ferraro and the Dallas First that San Jose has is perfect value. Ferraro Dahlin pairing would be so good
  25. Mario Ferraro is a physical, steady, and dependable defenseman who can contribute offensively. He's known for his strong defensive play, particularly his ability to be a reliable penalty killer and his willingness to finish checks. While he might not be a top-pairing defenseman on a contending team, he's a valuable asset for a team looking for a dependable two-way player
