Locals news at Stadium this morning saying there is roughly 3 feet of snow in that area. Many parking lots aren't plowed. A logistics issue for parking today. Plus many seats still buried in snow. Clean off or stand. Freezing outside. Temp around 18 degrees with some wind. -2 Windchill. North of Buffalo (Tonawanda), I barely got touched. My first snow of the year and it took just a few minutes to clear off the snow from the cars. Not the heavy wet stuff at all. Cleanup was 10 minutes. Seems like we got the least amount of troublesome weather. Some ice that needed the salt. Wind was howling for 2 days and the worry was falling branches from trees. Now gone.

A family lunch nearby at 1pm today. So the Sabres game means little. Bills game is the priority. They're not allergic to the playoffs.

Dallas and Miami getting buried in the playoffs is awesome. Bills have their issues but these 2 teams received a lot of over the top praise this year. Playoffs start and total no-shows. Dak Prescott is a fraud. He won't win anything. Love outplayed him by a mile. Congrats to the Lions. That was awesome.

Buffalo News is a horrible paper with the actual print copies coming out of Cleveland. Sports is delayed a day. Plus it's a left wing propaganda lecture on everything. Junior NY Times. Can't equate actual importance of Bills or Sabres based on their coverage which is stuck in the 1960s. Buffalo News is almost extinct.

In the afternoon, the snow band shifts back over the stadium. Hitting me North if Buffalo, at present. Total mess outside.

For safety, they should just play it virtually. I might like the results better.

North of Buffalo, I received my first snow last week that hit the ground and was gone an hour later when the temp. rose. I have yet to move snow since I got the snow blower ready 2 months back. Today is high winds and the Bills game will be an event tomorrow. Supposed to get some snow later today but the winds are already howling. So sports and streaming on the TV for the next 2-3 days. Myself and 3 women in the house means beer is required. Usually don't have power issues where I live. We'll see.

My gas is being shut off for a few hours this morning. Gas company ran new lines and dug up everyones lawn. Why not do it in the summer when it makes sense ? Freezing here. Nice timing. " Couple hours" says the worker. Heck of a plan.

WNY is currently experiencing high winds. Really affected the southern tier overnight and some power outages/downed trees were reported around the stadium and south. The weekend forecast sounds like a repeat performance. Could be some lake effect snow but high winds sounds like a lock. The Bills had a weather event vs. the Bengals last January and played poorly. Yes, I get the Hamlin situation and emotions. Yet the Bills seem to flounder badly in adverse weather events. Throwing the ball will be difficult. Pittsburgh will pound the ball on the ground with Rudolph at QB. It won them a bad weather game this past weekend. Their coaches probably feel the bad weather favors them and are far more confident. D may need more beef in the front 7. Bills will need to find their running game. Is this why they got Leonard Fournette ? Might be a wise decision to give him snaps, since he's the one guy that can plow through traffic. He also has good hands for short throws. Murray keeps dropping the ball. How to use Cook ? 2 back system ? I also see Allen laying out on running plays...like it or not. Brady has to call a smart game. Go Bills but this game is going to be very tough to win with the weather issue. May nullify a passing option.

I read this morning the Sabres would have to go something like 28-10-3 the remainder of the year to sniff the playoffs. Looks like another indifferent non-playoff year for the organization. Don't change anything. Just buy tickets.
