So far, Adams has made the bottom 6 more rugged with players that are good in their role. My fears that he would watch everyone else sign talent today are over. Keeping the expectations real.

So two 4th liners and a 3rd liner so far. More to do. My real fear was they would do nothing.

Understand your reasoning. Yet I think it's simply getting what they can to win now with little to no thought beyond that. Adams is currently here for another year at best unless they improve.

Adams said the Sabres were looking at deals to acquire NHL talent and didn’t get anyone. But neither did anybody else. Martin Necas is still in Carolina, Nikolaj Ehlers and Eden native Alex Iafallo are still in Winnipeg and so is disgruntled Jets prospect and former Team USA captain Rutger McGroarty. So is anybody else you might have heard on the rumor mill.
