I was at his last games Bills HC, a 48-6 loss to the Raiders. Bills won 1 game that year (1968). In all fairness, the roster was shot and injured beyond repair. Not his fault. He actually started the 3-4 look with the Bills. That's how they won the 1965 Championship game 23-0 over the Chargers. Dropped 8 into coverage and rushed 3.

That was a very physical game in Florida. I'm sure many Sabres were glad they were out golfing instead. They bruise easily.

The nut shot continues for Toronto sports fans as the Buffalo Bandits rally from down 8-4 to beat Toronto10-8 . Outscored Toronto 6-0 in the 4th. Bandits on to the final and the Leafs have golf company. Man, that's gotta hurt.

Link went bad. Sorry. Anyhow, it showed his tough youth in Louisiana. Insane HS stats in football, where he had 36 catches his last year with 22 of them TD's. Scored 64 in a basketball state playoff game. Single Mom with 5 kids. She grounded him for a month when he got a C in a class. The things these poor kids have to get through is incredible.

I see Jones is still having issues.. Jones was arrested in November and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after an argument with the mother of his child allegedly resulted in an injury to her neck, according to an arrest and booking report. The Florida state attorney's office announced in March that it would not pursue the charges against Jones and the case was dropped.

Yuck. Had that incident where he supposedly tried to jump through a window he broke while acting crazy. Drugs ?? Then Raiders and Jags. Had that amazing college career where he caught 399 passes. Had hopes for him. Shows that the draft is such a crapshoot.

Love the garden. Up north here in WNY, the weather is getting better with 70 + degree days rolling in. Almost 80 yesterday. Thinking of visiting the garden center today to fill pots on my deck with various color geraniums. They can take colder days if the temp does drop a little. Keep blooming into October. Never say never but name players with big contracts isn't something I see the Sabres seeking. They have already overpaid some young guys that need to improve a lot to justify their contracts. Players that can win a faceoff and don't avoid physical play are needed. Ruff can't be comfortable with this current roster.
