  1. The Buffalo Sabres are too comfortable and too many young players that are running the locker room with little accountability. The Sabres have to get older more experienced players that have grown up. When you have a hockey team that is upset because of Sabres fans booing and chants of fire Don Granato there priorities aren’t in the right place. Newsflash you are losing that is what happens in professional and college sports when you don’t win fans boo and want changes. The Buffalo fans don’t owe you a NHL job with no accountability for your play. This Buffalo Sabres team as it is meaning do nothing in the off season you’re going to get the same results as the last 13 years. Watch some of those Buffalo Sabres shows on the Sabres players you can see the Sabres are more a college frat house playing video games, golfing and screwing around. That needs to change for the Buffalo Sabres too many young players together is a bad idea. With older players that frat house crap won’t be mostly the entire Sabres team as it is now. This Sabres team was doomed from the very beginning too many young players screwing around and living in a fantasy world with no accountability for their bad play night after night. To sum it up the Buffalo Sabres management coddles these players many of them need to go to break up that frat house and fire Don Granato that created that and tolerate that. Don Granato should never have been hired to begin with he was the assistant coach to Ralph Krueger. Too expect a different outcome was very naive. Too many Buffalo Sabres fans put too much hope in Don Granato in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  2. Another Buffalo Sabres loss terrible refereeing tonight. Onto the next game in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  3. This is very good Buffalo Sabres news at least the Sabres are committed to staying in Buffalo. Buffalo fans know I am not a fan of Terry Pegula and I doubt I ever will be even if he finally wins a championship. Because I don’t care for his style of absentee ownership even with the Buffalo Bills it’s minimum at best so after getting that out of the way. Buffalo Sabres fans can do whatever they want it’s a free country. I would never tell anyone what they should do with their hard earned money or how to think. But understand complaining about seating leg room and restrooms is nonsense. The Buffalo Memorial Auditorium was a dump but we still went to games as Buffalo Sabres fans. The Key Bank Center restrooms today are 5 stars compared to the old Buffalo Memorial Auditorium or Buffalo War Memorial Stadium. If you don’t like sports anymore unless the Sabres are winning or the prices are cheap that is fine. But understand there are consequences for that action it’s called the moving van. Again I am fine with Buffalo NHL or AHL hockey as long as Buffalo has some kind of hockey team. But I have a feeling that the ones complaining the most about restrooms and leg room would never go near a Buffalo AHL team replacement for the NHL Buffalo Sabres if it ever came to that. Yet howl the most about missing NHL hockey in Buffalo. I say this because Buffalo Sabres are down there NHL revenue wise today with Arizona Coyotes and Winnipeg Jets two NHL teams that are at risk for relocation. The Key Bank Center seating bowl changes only happen with public money that is the general public responsibility it’s in the Buffalo Sabres lease. The Sabres lease is coming up and we as a Western New York community are going to have a choice renew the lease with the upgrades that the Sabres want or not. I think as a Buffalo Sabres fan it comes down to just like the Buffalo Bills you either want major league sports or you don’t in Buffalo? There is a price for major league sports and there are plenty of cities that will take the Sabres off our hands if you want to do the Oakland as I call it. Which is absolutely nothing but complain and not go to games. The ticket prices are the ticket prices for major league sporting events today go or don’t go it seems pretty simple. But in sports regardless of the level you can’t guarantee winning. I wish you could but you can’t. But I don’t want to hear complaining if the Buffalo Sabres leave town for the Buffalo AHL replacement you get what you pay for. Tickets are never coming down price wise and will always go up. When I read complaints about the restrooms and leg room in seats it tells me this may not be a major league sports town anymore sadly? You either love NHL hockey or you don’t? Seats and restrooms never entered into watching a hockey game for me. Again I am personally good either way Western New York community wants either to do the Oakland and become Rochester sports rivals keep it up. The biggest problem with the Buffalo Sabres are that the Sabres players are too comfortable and the roster needs a major block buster trades. Eventually that is going to happen and I think it’s Alex Tuch he isn’t a clutch player and any where but Buffalo would be a try hard player on a third line. Alex Tuch isn’t ever going to be a star or a top 6 forward and too many Sabres fans can’t see that yet. Because Alex Tuch is a semi local player from Syracuse. But the reality is that Patrick Kane the Buffalo hometown player most didn’t want even at his age is a more skilled clutch player than an Alex Tuch now. But unfortunately Sabres fans don’t want to hear or accept that fact. Alex Tuch is at his ceiling he isn’t going to get better only older. Now is the time to move him while the Sabres can hopefully get a good return. I would bring in Patrick Kane in free agency and trade for John Tavares out of Toronto. Which I think John Tavares may come available in the summer after the Toronto Maple Leafs collapse in the NHL playoffs again. John Tavares would be the Sabres new captain and Patrick Kane an alternate captain. Completely remaking the culture and locker room for the current Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  4. Very good Buffalo Sabres win last night onto the Florida Panthers game in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  5. Another good win by UPL and the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  6. I agree but just because the Buffalo Sabres have the physical talent to play NHL hockey at a young age. Many of these Sabres players have been coddled and are momma’s boys that basically have no clue or guts to understand that. Don Granato is a gut less leader less coach that is a groan man and doesn’t get it. That Sabres press conference is everything right in the open why Don Granato is a bush league coach way over his head that shouldn’t have been hired in the first place. Remember he was the assistant coach to another gut less leader less head coach in Ralph Krueger. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree and I would put Sabres GM Kevyn Adams and Sabres owner Terry Pegula in that category hence why the Buffalo Sabres as a organization are where they are today in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  7. Yes as a Buffalo Sabres fan every season I have circled on the Sabres schedule when the Sabres play the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians and Toronto Maple Leafs. Those games regardless of the NHL standings are big individual games to look forward to as a Sabres fan. Sadly today I don’t think the young Sabres players have any idea what I am talking about? Because they weren’t here in Buffalo and two I am not sure they really care about the history of the NHL or the Sabres franchise it’s just a job to the players along with another game on this schedule. Let me say that isn’t just exclusive to Sabres players. I think it applies to other NHL teams players today for the most part. The NHL is a hockey job to them nothing really more than that a business. Hence why these fool Sabres players get all hurt when Sabres fans boo or chant fire Don Granato. I have news for the Sabres players you want that to stop play better hockey it’s pretty simple to me in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  8. When ever the Buffalo Sabres beat a long time rival the Montreal Canadians regardless of the NHL standings it’s a great win. Young Sabres fans may not understand but beating the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians and Toronto Maple Leafs is important for this older Sabres fan like myself in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  9. Horrible Buffalo Sabres loss to a Western Conference Anaheim Ducks in the afternoon in the Eastern time zone. The Sabres need major changes to their roster makeup in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  10. A lot things are going on with Tage Thompson. One he had a career year and now has a big money long term contract so that sometimes effects the way a player deals with the pressure of that contract. Two he has been injured and three he isn’t skating as fast as last season. I personally would trade either Tage Thompson or Alex Tuch to shake this Sabres team’s comfort zone. The Sabres are too comfortable that is the problem why the inconsistent play. It’s got to be a big player that no one saw being trade. Everyone on this Sabres roster should be available including Rasmus Dahlin if you get the right price. Not for draft picks Pierre Turgeon for Pat LaFontaine or Phil Housley for Dale Hawerchuk type trades. So you aren’t taking a step back you are retooling the Sabres roster to win now. You have to give up something good to get something good back in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  11. Good come from behind win in overtime for the Buffalo Sabres tonight in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  12. Maybe but I think a lot of Buffalo Sabres fans that are big time supporters of UPL are going to be disappointed when the Sabres let him walk. Because I don’t see the Buffalo Sabres going $6 million dollars a year for 5 years. If those are the Linus Ullmark like numbers UPL is surely gone from the Sabres. The Sabres attendance is a mess and the team is losing money. Don’t worry it’s Devon Levi team next season regardless. Devon Levi has the main advantage the Sabres are looking for especially ownership entry level rookie contract over the other goalie candidates. Just like Zack Benson the Sabres ownership is over the moon with how that turned out entry level rookie contract on a top 6 forward fabulous. Sabres fans just don’t see the pattern Sam Reinhart he was useful when he was cheap once he wanted money goodbye. The Buffalo Sabres organization is the farm system for the other 31 teams. Some Sabres fans will say I am ok with that because at least the Buffalo Sabres are existing in the NHL. I get it these Sabres fans are hanging on to someday maybe the Sabres will get lucky like the lottery you have to be in the NHL to make the playoffs. I get it that is all we have as Buffalo Sabres fans is hope. But I am not under any illusion that Kevyn Adams and Don Granato are going to fix this they are here because they work for low level pay for a NHL GM and coach. The Sabres ownership aren’t changing or selling the Sabres franchise continues to go up and NHL expansion is hot. Think MLS expansion hot. Terry Pegula is looking at possibly another 4 expansion teams by the end of the decade to get the NHL to 36 teams. That is a nice chunk of money for the Sabres just existing in the NHL the Sabres ownership isn’t selling the NHL expansion interest changes any hope that Terry Pegula would possibly sell the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  13. Another loss this Buffalo Sabres team needs a blockbuster trade to its core 6 forwards in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  14. The Buffalo Bandits will always be more popular because they win consistently championships and their lower ticket prices. The Buffalo Sabres have a ticket pricing problem for the number of games they play and seats available. The Buffalo Bandits are like the Buffalo Bills limited amount of games once a week so the games have more value compared to 82 hockey games. When the Buffalo Sabres renovated Key Bank Center the Sabres need to reduce the capacity back to 16,500 again. 19,000 seats is too many for this size of market. So the Sabres tickets have no real value or demand compared to the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium days. The Sabres failed making that arena too large for this markets market size in my opinion. Go Bandits! Let’s Go Buffalo
  15. As a Buffalo Bisons fan the Toronto Blue Jays have to be one of the dumbest organization in sports when it comes to player evaluations. Last year they gave away catcher Gabriel Moreno to the Arizona Diamondbacks. This year the Blue Jays are at it again they gave away utility man Otto Lopez to the San Francisco Giants. I am glad I am a Buffalo Bisons and New York Yankees fan over the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are a terribly run franchise that squanders player assets in my opinion. Go Bisons! Let’s Go Buffalo
  16. Yes but Columbus is a terrible professional sports town. It’s a college town with no real history in professional sports. And if it was up to me I would move the Columbus Blue Jackets to Cincinnati renaming them the Cincinnati Stingers in a new arena. The NHL made a mistake with Columbus it’s just not a good professional sports town. Cincinnati you can grow the game more into Kentucky in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  17. I disagree a sale isn’t the only way. What about the lazy players? Is it ever their fault? Change starts with in the Buffalo Sabres players. When are they going to have some self respect and stop being the laughing stock of the NHL? I don’t care how much money or who the owner is the current Buffalo Sabres have lazy entitled hockey players with no self respect for themselves. That needs to change it’s been long enough with the patience in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  18. That is true but not a because of Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen. The Kansas City Chiefs have better ownership in the Hunt Family than the Buffalo Bills with the Pegula family that is the huge difference. I think Josh Allen would have won multiple Super Bowls under the Hunt Family ownership in Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo Bills fans are right now a little slow to pick up that Terry Pegula isn’t great as owner of the Buffalo Bills either. I don’t think the Buffalo Bills or Buffalo Sabres are ever winning with Terry Pegula as owner he is the same bumbling cheap owner of the Bills as he is with the Sabres. Josh Allen is masking a lot of Terry Pegula ownership flaws. But just because Josh Allen can mask flaws he can’t get it to a Super Bowl championship team here. I have no doubt Josh Allen wins a Super Bowl championship just not in Buffalo unfortunately. At some point Josh Allen is going to want out. Terry Pegula refuses to spend the money wisely like the Hunt Family because he just not that smart of a person. Von Miller was a terrible waste of money in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo
  19. I am fine with that as long as at least one of the top 6 forwards is trade. The Buffalo Sabres are too comfortable so are many Sabres fans with excuses and losing. I don’t like some of the things coming out of Rasmus Dahlin about they are all friends and decide to sign with Buffalo long term together. Sabres players are too comfortable. Alex Tuch is the one to move to really shake up that Sabres locker room that there is a price you pay when you don’t meet expectations. I also like the idea of trade Alex Tuch because it will also surprise some Sabres fans that are too comfortable with excuse making and losing. Alex Tuch and Dylan Cozens are overrated Sabres fan favorites they would be the first two players traded in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  20. Everyone should be available on the Buffalo Sabres roster for the right price in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  21. Another embarrassing Buffalo Sabres loss against the St Louis Blues on National ABC television shameful. The Sabres need to trade there lazy core Alex Tuch first guy that should go he is no star player and has limited upside. Alex Tuch is at his peak as a hockey player move on before he becomes another Kyle Okposo or Jeff Skinner not trade able because no one wants them in the NHL but Buffalo in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  22. The Buffalo Sabres aren’t moving they will get the public money. Why? Because take a look at Hartford XL Center. Connecticut was stupid they are stuck with the whole bill of renovating and maintenance of the XL Center a money pit with no Hartford Whalers tenant. Buffalo and Erie County are stuck paying either way. It’s better getting a half a loaf of money in a public/private partnership than nothing. Remember you’re paying for renovations and maintenance on Key Bank Center regardless if the Buffalo Sabres leave so that isn’t happening. Buffalo will do Buffalo private/public partnership a half loaf of money from a tenant the Buffalo Sabres is better than nothing. This isn’t the Buffalo Bills situation. Having a viable arena in your city is a must for entertaining residents or no one would want to live in Buffalo area. I could see no Bills over no Arena. This isn’t well Buffalo has a dome in Orchard Park to accommodate concerts and entertainment all year long they don’t it’s another open air stadium. Key Bank Center will be renovated it’s in the heart of Buffalo Canalside that relies on a Key Bank Center bringing people downtown. Now Terry Pegula he isn’t selling the NHL is talking going to 36 NHL teams regardless of what they say publicly now that is happening over the next ten years. Atlanta, Houston, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City are happening. Atlanta and Houston huge television markets. Cincinnati brings all of Kentucky a basketball crazy state the NHL wants new NHL fans. So Terry Pegula will collect the expansion checks and do absolutely nothing. Why should Terry Pegula sell the NHL US Expansion of new money is very profitable. The sad thing for Buffalo Sabres fans is that with each NHL expansion it gets harder to make the playoffs much less win a Stanley Cup. The prospective NHL expansion franchises want no part of an established team that sucks. They want the Vegas Golden Knights and Seattle Kraken route not the lowly Buffalo Sabres with Terry Pegula’s baggage of bad long term contracts. So neither is happening just more suffering until Terry Pegula gets lucky like he did with the Buffalo Bills Josh Allen falling in his lap. It’s going to get a whole lot worse when the NHL adds four more teams in the next 10 years. The Buffalo Sabres could go potentially 20 plus years with no playoffs which is sad but the NHL isn’t a 18 team league anymore. We are looking at a 36 team NHL and the reality is players have lots of options now. If you sit players they will ask out to be traded. The NHL GM’s and head coach have no power anymore they are lead by the players. Rasmus Dahlin gushed over Salt Lake City as a NHL expansion city. Again more money and more options to extend their careers for the players. Unfortunately as Buffalo Sabres fans there really isn’t anything you can do. But one thing I won’t do as a Sabres fan is never blame the Sabres players. The Sabres players aren’t victims there lazy entitled players that refuse to play hard every game. The Sabres need to move on from Sabres players where for whatever reason it isn’t working here so you trade the lazy players recover what you can and move on in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  23. Trading Casey Mittelstadt isn’t going to get it done. Trade Alex Tuch that needs to happen along with Peyton Krebs. The Buffalo Sabres need to move on from the Vegas Golden Knights junk the Sabres got for Jack Eichel it’s a constant reminder that the Buffalo Sabres got ripped off. Alex Tuch is going to age quickly you can see it. Trade Alex Tuch now while he still has some value. I want John Tavares out of Toronto whatever it takes to acquire him. He is older and experienced and the Sabres new team captain. You build around John Tavares to end the Sabres playoff drought. Pick one Rasmus Dahlin or Owen Power and trade the other. I don’t resign UPL I am not comfortable giving him a long term contract trade him at the trade deadline to someone that needs a playoff back up goalie. I would trade for John Gibson and Devon Levi are the Sabres goalies next season. I don’t resign Kyle Okposo and trade him at the trade deadline. I also sell the Rochester holdings and develop players closer to the immediate Buffalo area take your pick Amherst, Niagara Falls, Cheektowaga or Orchard Park. One possibility Orchard Park New Buffalo Bills stadium site across the street from the New Bills stadium at the present Highmark Stadium site. I am open to a Bills/Sabres/Buffalo AHL training campus with in a 5,000 to 6,000 seat arena. The arena will cost $80 million or more dollars to build. You need a training campus that houses our Buffalo teams that is state of the art. If you want that new Bills stadium to ever be anything more than it’s been for 50 years you need events year round out there in Orchard Park. You need something that can draw Buffalo fans to spend there money. The Buffalo Bills already control the parking there you need something that is year round. All of this type of stuff needs to happen for the Sabres to ever win big again. There is no future at Harbor Center it was a hotel with some shops and is outdated. The Harbor Center arena is too small seating capacity with 2,000 seats to host real events like AHL hockey, MASL indoor soccer and Arena Football League or Indoor Football League in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  24. Exactly effort and working hard should be a given. The Buffalo Sabres are a mess and need major changes to their top 6 forwards. One goal isn’t core players you can win Stanley Cup’s with. The Sabres need block buster trades to there core. I would add veteran proven players not prospects that are more suspects than prospects in the Sabres organization. The Sabres are at rock bottom they need major changes to their core players. Firing the head coach and general manager isn’t going to accomplish anything. The Sabres players on this present roster aren’t good enough in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  25. Rochester Americans one of the worst arena set up outside of Syracuse Crunch to develop NHL prospects. The Buffalo Sabres need to sell the Rochester Americans to local buyers and move on from that. The Buffalo Sabres AHL farm team should be in Erie or Niagara County in a state of the art Sabres practice facility that holds 5,000 to 6,000 fans like the Vegas Golden Knights AHL farm team in Henderson a suburb of Las Vegas in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
