How sad is it, that the Sabres know they can take all the time in the world to hire a HC, because the guy they are probably going to “settle for”(Granato), isn’t exactly in high demand for any other NHL HC openings?
Now that I have thrown my support to Beniers, I consider that to be the kiss of death, and almost a guarantee that the Sabres will draft Austin Power(s) instead.
I realize there are no guarantees, but for a guy ranked in the top 5(and in a lot of cases, top 2) even in a down draft year, I would hope for more than a 30-35 point player.

I have only seen a few highlights of each, and what has been discussed here. My vote is Beniers. Nothing that happens between now and the draft will change my mind....except for a bizarre off-ice incident.
Trading him in-season is unlikely to happen...or will severely limit the number of teams who can fit $10mil cap hit once rosters get finalized as the season draws close.
