  1. Agree to disagree šŸ¤
  2. He was slowwwww before that lol
  3. Actually, Denis Hamel is an AHL hall of famer. He ranks 11th in AHL history with 338 goals, topping the 20-goal mark in each of his last 10 seasons in the league, and totaled 651 points in 850 games. Add in 192 NHL games to that to boot. He excelled at everything except speed. He was like Murray out there, but had NHL everything else. https://ahlhalloffame.com/denis-hamel
  4. Showing your true colors here
  5. Said from a player’s perspective, ā€œWhose happy about the situation in Buffalo? ā€œā€¦ā€ ā€Jacob Bryson is happy.ā€ I died inside with this team. Again.
  6. How many Amerks games did you attend or watch to come to this conclusion?
  7. You make a fair point. However I do think it’s important to consider Jarmo’s decisions separately. I’m sure he was under different overlays than Buffalo decision makers, but his hires aged poorly.
  8. Not what you asked, but I think it is interesting who he hired as head coach. John Tortorella (after his brutal one season in Vancouver—his tenure was fine in Columbus), Brad Larsen (meh), Mike Babcock (this hire turned the tide against him as a GM), & Pascal Vincent (lasted one season after Jarmo was fired). Perhaps his role as advisor suits him better than being the organizational decision maker.
  9. Jarmo Kekalainen on pending UFAs six years ago: ā€œMoving forward we want guys who are proud to be Blue Jackets, proud to be living in Columbus & loving it here. It’s really important that they bleed blue ... Guys that don’t want to be here — good luck.ā€ He’s been drinking the ā€˜want to be here’ koolaid longer than GMKA. šŸ™ƒ
  10. Laval is 5 hrs 9 min away from ROC. Talk me out of making the drive for game five.
  11. Brendan Shanahan was let go. Incoming???
  12. I also don’t bet on sports, but that is a good long shot. Aside from the cap space, the Columbus media and fan pressure would also be a welcome break from Toronto.
  13. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3289328 I agree with you on my level of want for a Selke considered 100 pt player. However, gambling odds say we don’t have to spend too much time on this lol Blackhawks+275 Flyers+400 Penguins+500 Mammoth+550 … Sabres+3300 BlueJackets+3300 Oilers+4500 Panthers+5000 Jets+5000 Bruins+6000 Senators+6000 I don’t get very deep into the weeds of gambling odds on prop bets, but this seems telling as to how unlikely it would be.
  14. This is the correct answer. Laval is the better team. When the Amerks can matchup lines with last change at home, we saw two one goal games. But the Amerks need some puck luck or an otherworldly goaltending performance to beat Laval. The talent gap is noticeable.
  15. And because they’re already under contract. We are a poverty franchise. I love you Sabres but you are not serious people.
  16. If you don’t feel like messing around with Flo and you live in ROC, The Distillery is having a watch party. I’m going to check it out tonight.
  17. This is your yearly reminder that the Toronto Maple Leafs haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1967 and have NEVER won three rounds in a single playoff year. A tradition of failure!
  18. Sorry to quote you twice, but I just read the game story. Jiri agrees with me šŸ˜‚ ā€When the NHL regular season ended, Jiri Kulich was sent back to the Rochester Americans to experience intense playoff pressure, to prove he can perform in the spotlight when it matters most. Five games into what the Amerks hope will be a long Calder Cup playoff run, Kulich isn’t so sure he is living up to expectations. At least not his own. ā€œTo be honest, I’m still not good enough,ā€ Kulich said. ā€œI have to do more.ā€ The Amerks will tell you he’s doing plenty.ā€œ https://pickinsplinters.com/2025/05/16/kulich-rousek-rosen-come-up-big-as-amerks-rebound-to-tie-series/
  19. The stat line in there, but ROC is going to need him to take over a game. Three of his four points this series are secondary assists. He hasn’t looked dangerous with the puck on his stick. He’s capable of driving play at this level and they need him to.
  20. Ɩstlund, Murray and Kulich have more to give. Dunne and Clague have been dynamite. Rochester can win this series if the bounces go their way Let’s gooooo!
