Like the folks on GR said, you do not have to fast forward the build, just forward it!!!! This is close enough where we can better this team in what we need without it being a rental. Are they going to be a SC contender?? Who knows..... you have to get there first! This group will not make it without a bit of help.

Definitely feel you.... Been a fan since day one and can never really root for another team. I complain, and ride the C ticket ride (For you oldies) that is the Sabres season. I have gotten to the point that i get excited only to shut the TV off and go do something else when the game is out of hand. I will still add pieces to my Sabres room, but patience of waiting on a team that is in a league where HALF the teams make the playoffs to make it is getting rougher and rougher.

It is the same problem with this team..... Not going to change... You can xerox that post and put it up most games. Pressure the team, they fold, not grit, no balls to defend or goto the front of the offensive net, etc etc etc. They have more young talent that fills 1 full line and 1 or 2 of a 2nd line. We do not have a strong defensive defenseman. (At least not one thats consistant). They are exciting to watch though. Patience on waiting for a ***** team to get better SHOULD NOT BE A BUFFALO THING!!!! We accept that though as that is our lot in life. Thursday i will goto my hockey room with my Sabres gear, snacks and hope to stay in for longer then 10 minutes into the first period.

Well, after another home stinker.... This team is what it is... a slightly better team then it was last year, with some glaring problems that we have always had. No push, no guts, no real defensemen to play defense (Muel cannot do it on his own), and no forwards with balls to get into the dirty area. We can score a bit better, but the kids are nothing but kids still. A couple of years away from maturing. No playoffs for us, as we are about to get our collective ***** handed to us in the next few weeks. We are kinda like the Bills last year....we won games but the glaring problems were there for the whole world to see but ignored by the fans. Granato did as promised. Put an entertaining team on the ice. They are inconsistent and very young with missing pieces.

I think this is a team we can play better against... They do not forecheck or play defense. Now, can we score more? I think so..... I am worried more about the heavy forechecking teams then the laffs. Lets go Buffalo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although much improved, they will not make the Playoffs IMHO. There are too many teams that can shut us down and we do not have the players (or plan) to answer them. I DO think that teams like Toronto we would do better against as we play similar styles....But, any team that plays us tight and heavy forechecks shuts us down with no answer in sight to be able to counter. Until they figure that out, we will stay out of the playoff spot. We may keep it close but it will not be enough. This is something that needs to be seriously addressed or this team will continually miss the playoffs.

I do not get the ESPN+ hate..... you can get Disney, Espn+ and one other package for 15/month. Better then center ice and omg cheaper!

So glad i did not stay up for that disaster...we are currently in our 5 game losing streak down phase. Couple more games they will start their 9 wins in 11 phase before their next 5 game losing streak.... This team is not close to ready. Hope this is a good draft!

Did we ever really have a shutdown line? I think we tried with Girgs, Krebs and Grandpa, but they are fracking slow with the exception of Krebs. (who is slowly becoming one of my fave Sabres) I agree with splitting them up. Especially the Kid line!!! They had an incredible 2 weeks and then slowly fell into obscurity. They are kids and need to simmer a bit but that line went to crap quickly. Lets see what happens tonight.... crossing fingers

I have been wondering the same. Isn't he a stay at home defensive Dman with some grit? I am all OUT on us going after Chicklet. If we are going to go big, It has to be Timo. I think picks and an one of our young ones and a player is not a bad thing for a proven 30+ hard hitting going to front of the net forward. We do not have him in our system and that is 10000% what this team needs. Money be damned. Yes, i know all the arguments against, but if you are going to do it big, that's who you chase after.

After last Saturday pukefest, not a chance i try and watch this one. Staying up late to just get frustrated, is not helpful...LOL Hope they figure things out. Teams around us are getting hot at the right time. We either do or we will be out of a playoff race quickly.

Just a couple of Thoughts and Observations: - 58 Mins of complete domination. When have we seen that against a very good team and in their house!!!! - Where has that forecheck been?? I need more forecheck!!! (Did anyone just hear a cowbell?) - I have seen us get killed with a heavy forecheck many times, but damn they blew through it last night! - Goaloffson should not be trade bait! He is playing the best i have seen him, and his line looks good! - Timo - He is what we need. A 1st, one of the 1st round pics from last draft and Quinn. He would definitely help complete this team. - Power..... WOW... love seeing him grow so quickly!!! All in all, one of my favorite games this year i have watched. Nice seeing us dominate!!!

This is a hard one. He is 1 billion % what the Sabres need. IS the price to high for him? I honestly do not think so. He has a proven record of the last few years worth of work to show what he can do. The big thing is SJ going to allow to talk to him to confirm a long term contract, he WANTS to be here, and bring him in at a decent contract. We do NOT have this type of player in the system right now. So getting someone like him in a trade is our best bet.

You will be docked one goal for the Sabres for wearing the Slug.... should be 2 goals but gave you one for Miller Auto. LOL

i thought all around, it was one of the better games as a whole that the team has played. The played quick and made superfast decisions and kept the Stars on their heels most of the night. Anderson was out of his mind and tuned in! Using Tage as a decoy is the smartest thing we can do since it definitely opens up other players, like Power last night. Lets see if we can do that again tonight!!! 😀

Time for some defensive help for this team. They are close enough to getting there for Adams to try and improve them!
