Amerks are the Kings if the 3rd period comeback. As earlier posts mentioned it is the kids that are helping to drive the bus. savoie looked much better than last year in Rochester. Kulich and Rosen are studs. Kisakov looks like he will have a big season. I like Kozak’s heart and details. RyJo looks like he will be a Sabre at some point this season. Novikov is a teenager in the AHL playing D. He will have good nights and bad nights early but there is a ton of potential there. Cooley did them no favours in net tonight.

With the way Cooley is playing in net tonight they might as well pull the goalie and go with 6 skaters all game.

Sabres okay way better on the road. Guess they like playing in front of people.

They couldn’t get a sniff of Jones all day. Allen was running for his life. Embarrassing game. They look like they don’t have a clue on either side of the ball.

This team is embarrassing. The Giants should have beat them last week and the Pats are beating them now. Can’t stop anyone defensively. Allen can’t hit the broad side of a barn offensively. They are going nowhere in the playoffs if they even make it.

I don’t think the rookies are ready quite yet. Im not judging Kane on last year when he tried to play through the hip injury. Before that he was still his usual self. I think he is much better than last year. Im just connecting the dots.Im not banging the table for him but there is a lot of smoke around so let’s see how it plays out.

Yes but his offensive game is still very good when healthy. The guy is a world class hockey player who is a free agent and has been connected to Buffalo by every insider. He instantly makes the PP much better. That is why there is interest in talking about him.

What is the status of Savoie? He has got to be ready to play games at this point. Do they send him down to the Amerks on a conditioning stint? With Benson I am wondering if Kane comes into play. They decide Benson needs to go back but can’t have VO as the full time winger in the lineup. If they have an idea Kane is going to sign then it makes it easier to return Benson to junior. Edit: and the minute I post it they announce Savoie is headed to Rochester on a conditioning stint😃

Excited for tonight. Lets remember that they don’t win the Cup with a win tonight and aren’t eliminated from the playoffs with a loss tonight.😀

Well no other team has a Dahlin and a Power that they can compare to each other.😁

We will see Power-Dahlin a lot over the years. Donny already does it when they need offence later in games. Once the D corps is a little deeper I can see them being a pair for longer stretches.

I think Power will easily live up to deal. The size, mobility and brains make him a unicorn type player. Having Dahlin, Power and Muel locked in long term and with R Johnson, Novikov, Strabek, Metsa in the pipeline the backend looks very promising long term.

I love they got these guys locked up long term on fair deals. If the cap explodes then the Quinns, Levi’s, Bensons, JJs And others should be able to be signed too and a very good young core can be together long term

I think Adams is hoping they rule that Savoie can play in the AHL all season. He missed by a single day with a lot of stuff going on in that time period (Covid) They might have a case. My god would the Amerks be stacked with Savoie.

Outside the Big 5 to me (Benson, Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, R. Johnson) Östlund, Novikov, Wahlberg, Strabek, Komarov,Poltapov, Jake Richard, Metsa, Mediema, Marajala, are the names that intrigue me the most this season in the vast world of Sabres prospects. If some of them pop this season then it opens up so many more possibilities for the team moving forward.

Appert will have a balancing act for sure. Kulich, Rosen, Kisakov, Neuchev, Cederqvist, Nadeau, Johnson, Novikov And Metsa will all need to play and develop all while having a surplus of talented vets as well. And Savoie will definitely get a conditioning stint as well.

He outscored Bedard So should Bedard go back to Juniors? Sometimes a player is ready. Right now Benson is ready. Can he handle the riggers of an entire season is to be determined but he has earned the right to start it.

Benson makes every line he is on better. He will help the Greenway Mitts line become much more productive. Skinner Tage Tuch is a known commodity.
