Adding good players is always a plus. Theodore is mid 20s, great contract, and is a known commodity. You don’t know what Power, Samuelsson, Johnson will end up being. IF he is offered in the deal you take it and run. Theodore and Tuch would be great additions to strengthen the lineup and help the kids progress while still being mid 20s and on good contracts with term that won’t shake up the salary structure. You still get your future piece with a first or a Brisson or Krebs depending what the deal looks like. Theodore, Tuch, Brisson, conditional pick would be a very good return.

Tage has been day and night better at centre. That was his first rough game of the season. They need Mitts back and shift Cozens to RW.

The 3 rd period was a combo of the Sabres being gassed and the Ducks aggressively trapping in the neutral zone. They need Mitts back and to shift Cozens to RW. Cozens is struggling at C. Their structure is so much better under Granato. They don’t give up a ton of g,a ring opportunities even when they struggle.

That’s a game they lose 10 out of 10 times the past couple years. Take the points and run. Asplund is really coming into his own as a young player. Great play by Victor to setup the tap in. Really like that line with Tage down the middle.

They just said during the Michigan game that Kevyn Adams is in the building. I know he is looking at Power (who made a fantastic play on Johnson’s goal) and Portillo but I wonder if he is looking at Brisson who almost scored.

I don’t agree with allowing UPL to stay in there for 6 goals (7th as empty netter). Young goalie who is clearly struggling. You have a capable vet in Dell. Pull UPL, let Dell mop up and then ride Dell while UPL works on his game.

You are 100% correct. To allow the guy to work with other teams and around young players when they knew what he did is absolutely inexcusable.

Those are reports from others in the room during those meetings. Brent Sopel and Nick Boynton said every player in the room knew what happened. Everybody knew.

Flames are mentioned as involved and can make his salary work. If Flames offered Zary, Matthew “The Bison” Coronoto, Pelletier and a 1st that might get it done. Their past 3 1st round picks and a future 1st. Of course salary would have to come from somewhere else but 3 young offensive forwards (Zary is a centre) and a first is a nice haul. Zary isn’t a sexy name but he has put up big numbers in Kamloops and Stockton for his age. I don’t think Monahan fits here and Flames aren’t moving Mangiapane and his 7 goals. It sounds like Vegas is the favorite but the Flames shouldn’t be overlooked as a player in this if they truly are interested.

Anderson vs Elliott has to be one of the oldest combined goalie aged matchups in a while. They have both been around forever. Nice to finally see Elliott falter against the Sabres.

Who had Tage Thompson, two way Centre with 4 points in 6 games and a +2 in the pool? Developing a 6’7 two way RHC out of nothing might guarantee Donny the Jack Adams Trophy.😆

I loved it. Watch his post game presser, you would think they lost 5-1. Donny doesn’t play around. He is not going to accept a tank season. These guys will compete and grow each games whether they want to or not.

Bend but not break against the 2 time Cup Champs. It’s not the wins and losses it is that they have been in every game with no Eichel, Mitts or Joker in the lineup. Granato and his staff has a system that utilizes the talent they do have, he has everybody believing they can compete every night and no one looks confused out there, they all know their assignments. The goaltending hasn’t let them down at all which is such a nice change from years past. They work hard every game. I enjoy watching Sabres games again. All my buddies are Leafs fans. My heart goes out for them right now.😜🤣
