The Sabres doctors won’t approve it. Jack and his team are scrambling trying to find doctors to approve it for his situation to present to the Sabres. The reporting has been that a lot of the NHL teams and their medical staff aren’t comfortable with it. your argument is that Sabres will lose goodwill over this when they are relying on medical opinions which think Jack’s option is dangerous. They are looking out for what is best for their player.

So the Sabres asking their player to get the safe, doctor approved surgery instead of the more dangerous, non doctor approved surgery is going to cost them goodwill with players? If my kids want to play in the middle of the street my consideration isn’t whether other kids will think I’m cool or not when I tell my children to get out of the street for their safety. This falls on Jack. If he would have gotten the fusion surgery back when this began he would be back and this mess never would have happened.

Has the Jack Adams Award ever been awarded after 3 games?😀 This team had no centres, lost Mitts in Game 1 and hasn’t missed a beat. Tage has stepped up at centre and been a beast. The one guy that has really looked good is Asplund. Dahlin is starting to look like he is back on the trajectory of a 1 OA draft pick. I have no expectations for this season, just going to enjoy the ride.

This might be their Arizona game from last year. I thought Allen got the 1st down on the dive out of bounds but the spotters disagreed. No problem going for it, Allen usually gets it. The D made a play. Learn from it, become hungrier because of it.

Hague is a name Marek threw out there like 3 or 4 months ago and then regurgitated a couple days ago. I doubt he got any new info on it, he is just repeating what he knows from months ago. I mean Hague doesn’t make much sense. I think Krebs is the negotiating piece. It is not that Vegas will refuse to part with him but he is the hammer that these to get some other parts of the deal to their liking. ie “we will make Krebs available but you need to take this piece instead of that piece and the conditions of the draft pick need to be this rather then that. Remember that these sources get their info from the team or agents so they are used as public negotiating pawns a lot of the time. I think Foley wants to win soon more then McCrimmon wants to hold onto Krebs. A couple more Vegas losses and Foley’s impatience might force something to shake loose.

People who crap on people for commenting on a message board has to be up there too. God forbid UPL gives up a goal next game or you guys will mutiny. Give it some time before completely writing off a young goalie.

A thread about how awful UPL is in the first period of the first game of the season is a little much. It could have been a comment in the Rochester thread. He helped lead Finland to a gold at the WJCs and was a rockstar for Sudbury in the O. Saying he has never had a good game is a bit ridiculous. Young goalies are a crapshoot. If he is struggling by mid season then there might be reason for concern but 2 of the goals were breakaways, it can’t all be pinned on UPL today.

Vegas makes the most sense to me because one they need a 1C to help put them over the top but their owner is not a patient man and he loved MAF and I can’t believe he was ok with letting MAF go and replace his cap space with Dadonov. I think Foley turns the heat up on McCrimmon and he makes a deal including Krebs.

Hague, Sabres want all the 6’6 LHD. I like Krebs, I want him for sure but he is not a player you refuse to give up in an Eichel deal.

I think they have enough young wings. I would like 3 to 4 centres in this draft. Not saying no to wings but a couple high end young centres would do wonders for the prospect group.

This is the classic, “all these guys were hyped for the draft two years out and now come draft year this kid is coming out of nowhere to be a top dog come draft day.” The kid is on a heater to start the season. Very skilled RW without a ton of size. The numbers are Bananas so far in a good pro men’s league.

Jack’s talent has never been the problem. It is what comes with it. The Sabres don’t want him around these guys. He will be dealt and they will move on.

The Sabres are fast. Hinostroza, Asplund, Bjork, Cozens, Cagguila, etc generate a lot with the wheels. I thought Dahlin was fantastic. Not a single negative tonight. That type of effort will go a long way win or lose.
