I think Dahlin and Power for a decade might be not bad. A big killer last year was the backbreaking goals that Toker, Dell and crew would let in. Comrie hasn’t let in stinkers. I can’t blame him on the 3 tonight. Just getting your goalies to make the saves that should be made is a big plus. Mitts needs to stick with the crew cut, looks good on him. Thinking of the young guys on the team and then thinking of Savoie, Kulich, Levi etc coming along is a lot of fun.

I haven’t watched Hines. Does he bring the same skill set as Cook?

Detroit weren’t ever in this game but a few bounces and it got close. When it was 4-3 that was a game the Sabres would lose in other years. They just turned it on and blew the Wings out of the building. So much good stuff but I want to single out Krebs. He had a very good game tonight. Please get out D back. I don’t want to see our teenage Dman with Clague anymore.

Oh I agree. It would be a terrible match and I doubt Trotz touches it unless the money is insane.

Yep and let’s see where Poyer is at. I think Motor and Cook can give them enough out of the backfield. I have been waiting to that dump pass to Cook in space and letting him go.

The Leafs are a mess. The only reason they got a point is an awful disallowed goal call against the Ducks. They were up 3-1 after the 2nd period against the worst offensive team in the league and the worst team overall and just folded like a cheap suit. Marner gave two pucks away for 2 goals against and they benched him for one shift.

What does everyone think: Do the Bills make any moves before the deadline? They seem to be looking at RBs and I would love to see a steady OLine addition for depth.

Their forward group is tied to the top 4 and outside of Tavares they just don’t give a crap too much of the time. If they somehow find a way to lose to the Ducks tonight some of my buddies might be jumping off bridges.😀 Dubas is gone after the season if he makes it that long. I can see him panicking, canning Keefe and throwing $5 trillion at Trotz.

When I was little I was always jealous of Boston having Ray Bourque. He was so good and played all the time. It never mattered who his partner was, Bourque was going to dominate and help the Bruins win. This franchise finally has a Ray Bourque.

They are imperfect players but useful to the team. Is Mitts the leading faceoff guy on the team? Who are they replacing these two with who are going to produce more? One guy Inwould love to see them look at if Vancouver are making changes is Horvat. One of the best faceoff guys in the league and a centre that goes to the net. 6 goals on the year. They don’t know if they can extend him after the Miller deal and there are some issues in that room so Horvat might be a guy that becomes available. Edit: Friedman reports that Horvat is available. Colour Me Interested.

In a few weeks we are going to see Bruins-Sabres Sat. Vikings-Bills Sunday. Great weekend. Since they are One Buffalo you think they would setup some weekend deals when both play at home.

Both are producing well to start the season. They might not play the style some prefer but both will have career years if they keep it up.

So far it seems that NYR and Bruins are units and the rest of the East is wide open. Sabres are young, the D injuries are concerning but if they can develop they should be in the mix with a bunch of teams this season.
