No not a dummy..... he doesn't know when to quit (I appreciate that) and that is the part of the point I've been trying to make about Dylan Cozens dropping the gloves tonight. The Sabres need to develop the "never quit" / 'do whatever it takes" personality. I would prefer it in the pure hockey sense (Scoring, Defense, Forecheck , Etc)

It was just a single fight that riled up a fanbase for a couple of minutes. You could have let us have that for the night but noooooo. You had to be all self righteous and educate us on why fighting is bad and should be outlawed. Learn how to read the room, stop trying to be an authority and move on.

The 70's comment is lazy on your part. Nobody fights in this league ? EVER? It still happens. Its a typical comment from the "beautiful game" advocates. Watch this league and tell me if we are playing a flowing, beautiful, end to end, great action game every night. The NHL is not that at all. It is quite the opposite. The game you are looking for was played in the 1980's and Early 90's. The NHL is the same boring hook, hold, and grab it has been for the last 20 years. Have you seen the Islanders, Flyers, Bruins, Devils, Blues, Predators, Panthers, Blue Jackets, Stars, Etc.

Disagree, it means a lot. Its not even about fighting, per se. Its about playing with heart, emotion, determination. Athletics in general is not just about skill. What gets you past the other competitor is your will and determination. If that means kicking someone's ass, then yes it does have an effect

Yes, I agree. It matters big time. The "*****" culture has to leave this team. You have to bring every aspect of the game to win. Those who believe that players don't like or can't play the physical game are mistaken. Its always there.

Any coach worth his salt would point out that Cozens did the right thing and should encourage the rest of his players to play with that kind of bravado. That does not mean for all of them to fight. It means to do whatever it takes to win.....ALWAYS
