Can someone explain? Seen this term a lot over the past few weeks but haven’t been able to catch the exact acronym

We do not have ‘enough good forwards’ for any sustainable success. In theory, MAYBE we have ‘enough good forwards’ in terms of potential. But even then, the teams lacked real NHL talent and just shuffled AHLers through the 3rd and 4th line for way too long. The team is loaded on young assets right now and has a surplus of cap space, if I could send a 4th or a 5th for a player like Debrusk on an expiring contract, take a flier and see if he turns his game back around, and if you could sign him for a cheap deal, then absolutely. At the price Andrew Peters is suggesting on Twitter, a 2nd or maybe even multiple? Absolutely not. Marty on WGR, a 2nd and expecting him to immediately slot in as a ‘piece’ moving forward and pencilling him in as a long term good 3rd liner? I’ll pass. Take a flier, see if he makes a difference, and if not then move on.

I get the frustration starting to boil over after a loss on top of a streak of poor performances But this was their best game in maybe 4 or 5 games in my opinion. The high pressure system was back to work for a full 60 minutes and it looked mostly good in doing so. A couple of bad bounces on defense and goaltending returning to the mean, as well as an offense that didn’t penetrate the slot quite enough. Outside of that, you can still see the progress over last years team which is the biggest facet here. But also this is a game that might be in the W column on a different night with a little bit more puck luck. Maybe my eye is still untrained for hockey and I’m better off sticking to commenting on the Bills, but that’s just what I saw last night. I think the fancy charts might back me up and show that it was closer than some may have expected, but I can’t find any for last night yet

Voted according to what I thought before the first 2 games, which was sub 60. Was fully prepared for a historically bad team. As of right now? Maybe a Granato led team that lets the youngsters attack on offense could manage to scrape up 75+ points. But I won’t let the first 2 games of the season grow my optimism that much just yet.

Lot of useful information, from Buffalo diehard Bills fan never gave the Sabres a chance until ~2017-2018 when I started following this site and this board has definitely helped learning the team and hockey much easier so props to all the active people here!
