  1. Tampa in six . Vegas in four. No they didn't cheat! Ridiculous.
  2. Love the player and would love him as a Sabre. It is however always hard to pass on big, smooth, talented D-man.
  3. I don't know, but you said there were multiple guys better than the CS rating #1 this year in previous years. I wonder if CS would agree with that.
  4. First time I've seen him play, and I must say I was impressed. I'm fine with him at #1, Beniers is also fine if Forward is deemed the way to go. But, I must say he made me reestablish my though process after seeing him and how he looked against men like Tarasenko and Orlov.
  5. Kevyn Adams says we're proud as an organization to have the Top Pick! LOL
  6. Nope. Always thought, to my eyes Marner was somewhat overrated by the Toronto-biased media (as is Morgan Reilly); the fact Mitch hasn't scored a goal in 18 playoffs games just confirms it to me.
  7. I'm afraid of overreaction: My concerns instead of trading Jack...... Get Jack back healthy Get another goalie to pair with Ullmark Have a healty Jack, Ullmark, McCabe and add to what we saw with DG Draft Matt Beniers Get Jack Healthy Oh did I mention get Jack back healthy Don't overreact and bale out
  8. In all fairness, that's a pretty big one! Didn't see the press conference, did anyone ask him if he preferred New York Or Boston?
  9. Aw come on you have some good takes. After all the tap water in Lackawana is not as good as Fairport which is not as good Ithaca.
  10. That's fair. I tried to balance somewhat what the player has accomplished with what his potential is. I'm really curious as to whether he gets protected in the draft. I say probably not, but this coming year is without a doubt a make or break season for him. If the Sabres keep him he better stay healthy and find a bit more game.
  11. I found the same thing it gets very difficult for the last few. I also struggled with Borgen because I think he's good, but I haven't seen enough. And, when I combine that with he is a zero offensively, only playing 13-14 minutes a game and doesn't have a high Corsi.......
  12. A much harder exercise than you might guess, and one sure to spark some differing opinions. You can look at it a number of ways, value in a trade, purely performance, how the organization may view it, or all together including salary. I'll start. Not necessarily in order. Just 10 Best. Let's see what you got. Eichel Reinhart Mittelstadt Oloffson Skinner Ristolainen Bryson Dahlin Ullmark McCabe
  13. McDavid MacKinnon Matthews Panarin Draisaitl Hedman Marchand Rantanen Stone Crosby
  14. Wilson had nothing to do with anything , he didn't hit Buchenvich in the back of the head, he didn't throw Panarin down barely avoiding hitting his head on the ice, and he's a picked on guy who would have been lionized 15 years ago. After all, 31 teams want him. Therefore, Panarin needs to stay away and not poke the bear.
  15. Indeed. There is alot of push back from the old guard on this situation. On the NHL radio, it's been all about how Panarin jumped on Wilson's back, and POKED THE BEAR. And, all GMS want Tom Wilson on their teams. It may well be the case, but the league is supposedly trying to clean the game up and protect the stars. The old guard is pushing back for their boy Tom Wilson.
  16. When you say it's not over with Wilson I'm not sure what you mean. E Friedman just reported nothing further will occur. The league has spoken and nothing further except a likely Rangers fine. Furthermore, the league has a vast tolerance and try not to completely eliminate this type of behavior to placate the "old" guard. One hand they do this, and on the other they say we are committed to cleaning up the game. That is how you end up with this kind of situation repeatedly. EDIT: what's the first thing you always hear after these situation? you hear that All 31 GMs would love to have Tom Wilson. He's going no where unless he kills someone literally.
  17. James Dolan? You have got to be kidding right? Look him up, they don't make bigger douches
  18. What was wrong with the statement, other than it told the truth about the NHL and discipline.
  19. I haven't read the whole thread, but has anyone discussed whether in fact we are seeing more goalies get hurt in general? It does appear that goalies on all teams are getting hurt at a much higher rate than previous. The old saying if you have 2 goalies you don't have one seems to pretty antiquated in these times. YOU NEED AT LEAST 2! I wonder if the style coached into all goalies these days has a potentially risky effect on them physically? Just some thoughts I'd had this season about the topic.
  20. Good point. At least young guys can improve and get better.
  21. I'm guessing that he won't be the next coach, and the decision just got alot simpler for Pegulas.
  22. Anyone notice? lost 4 in a row, 6 of 7, and 7 of 9. finish with 4 games against teams they are 1-11 against this year if they lose the last 4 games, RK record is 6-18-4, DG record is 7-18-3 It really sneaks up on you
