My point. I just don’t like the way they play in our zone. Not enough effort. I call it roller hockey defense, you can take a body in ice hockey. Ducks have one line. We have the final change. We ought to have a checking line to shut them down.

This is not a good thing

Really hated that period. We had a two goal lead and wasted it. Too loose in our defensive zone. Swatting at the puck, playing roller hockey defense with skating past the puck and not taking bodies. Playing to the level of their opponent once again. I expect a better 3rd period.

Krebs gets rewarded. He has been good since his sit down.

Zegras is a thorn in our side. Again, poor defensive zone play.

I have been cringing about our defensive zone play. The reluctance to separate the puck from the body is a problem. They love to slap it around. Now get another one Sabres.

I like to accomplish something everyday. I told my wife I was going to clean up my workshop - in the unfinished part of the basement were I keep my tool bench, tools and hardware. Ok, interesting numbers. Eichel has always been known for intense workouts in the gym so some of the work he puts in there might be better spent on ice. Or he really is one notch below the others. Almost two behind McDavid. That matches my eye test.
