I streamed it a while back and was quoting the lines and laughing hard. Mrs Punch asked me “how old are you again?”

I did not see anything from Asplund or Hinostroza in their two game stint with Cozens, but maybe the fancy stats say otherwise? No Krebs? So Asplund at center with Kyle and Hinostroza. Hmmm. Someone needs to show they want to stay in the lineup.

I wish he showed the same fight this year that he did last year.

I think this is to manage the workload of 3 goalies. Andy gets limited reps, UPL is just now emerging (maybe) as an NHL goalie, and Comrie is still coming back from an injury and is unproven as a starter on top of that. With Comrie under contract for next year, and Andy's retirement inevitable, we could be looking at UPL and Comrie next year - unless they make a trade for a goalie. UPL is 23 years old. He is getting a serious look. This is about the time he should emerge as an NHL goalie, if he is going to. Of note, Jordan Binington spent 5 years in the minors and was 25 when he made it to the NHL. Sometimes patience is needed.

Good point. The margin for error every night is low. Seems like almost every game we play a team on a hot streak. We made some mistakes in both of those games that young teams tend to make. My concern is that they move forward and end the losing streak now. Playing good and losing is not good enough.

Thanks for the good news points of view. It is getting depressing here right now with the 3 game losing streak. This team has to figure out how to get their game back. I look forward to seeing Quinn and Peterka back. Asplund and Hinostroza did not show anything to indicate they should be playing. I am back to feeling that Cozens is being wasted without at least one good veteran winger to play with. We really need the rookies to bring some energy, get on the scoresheet, and take some heat off of the first line. Zemgus is a loss on the 4th line, especially against a team like the Preds. I agree that Asplund is the likely replacement and he really needs to show something. This has not been a good year for him, expectations for him were higher. As you said, this team needs to get a DUB. Who will be in goal? I think UPL or Andy give us the best chance.

If you play enough you will hear parts of other songs in songs you are playing or practicing. Just yesterday I was practicing the song Blue Sky (Allman Bros Band). Going onto the chorus there is a chord change from B major to A to E back to A. I was fooling around with the feel and timing of those changes, then experimented with playing it further up into the middle of the neck. Since there are two guitars and multi tracks of guitar, I was looking for a way to play the notes within these chords to be picked individually, to get a fuller sound. While fiddling around, all of a sudden I figured out a section of the song Mandolin Wind (Rod Stewart) and sure enough, that song has chord changes from B major to A and I happened to pick out the melody. The songs are totally different otherwise. I doubt George purposely plagiarized the song, I think that stuff happens because there are only 7 notes in a scale, and only so many combinations work for rock/pop. It is the timing that you apply to the notes that make the music.

Yeah. Sometimes his comments lead you to think he is extremely regimented. We are seeing the reality of trying to grow in this league. It is a tough league, lots of competitive teams. We are a not good defensive team. Every stat shows that.

We drafted Power at 1, Seattle draft Beniers at 2. None of which has anything to do with Quinn.

UPL had a good game, he only faced 27 shots. Their goalie is one of the best in the league, but UPL kept us in. First line was not there again. The PP was 0-5. We had 41 shots yet it seems like they don’t shoot enough. We make a few mistakes and it seems to kill us. They have to keep working. They have to end this losing streak.
