  1. https://gfycat.com/closedlittlecrownofthornsstarfish 51 days!
  2. Good #3 feels like the longest shot in the list. Did we get any signs of this last year? I feel like no we did not. Hopefully Granato can do his thing. Bad #2 re: Clifton is 100% what I am nervous about. Bad #4 is another. There's talent available to fill in, but experience is missing and Quinn was looking so ripe.
  3. It's a great point. I'm not gonna try to GM but yeah thinking about McDavid in the east selfishly would be glorious. We get to see him play, and average sports fan might be interested in NHL.
  4. Googled and found this: https://thejuniorhockeynews.com/rating-the-junior-hockey-leagues-2022-edition-top-twenty-leagues-at-all-levels/ 1. USHL 2. Ontario 3. Western 4. Quebec 5. NAHL So maybe some of the guys are committed to D1 and others working on it? I see Gionta's son is on the Rochester roster.
  5. Looks like another good option for date night with @inkman Appreciate the Wegmans investing here.
  6. On Paetsch, as a footnote / reminder / fyi to our newer fans, https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2015/09/04/nathan-paetsch/71591544/ For me, obviously gambling laws are loosening and are questionable in the first place. I guess I'm a little surprised the Pegula's are deciding to look the other way and pay the man what I assume is a handsome salary. Meanwhile, the ring leaders got 9 years in jail.
  7. I'm setting my expectations to "underperform" vs points last year. He was on fire for a while and seemed to cool during the last 2 months, especially March when the playoff race got hot.
  8. Yeah he is. Would love to see him Doug Demuro. That guy basically killed Car and Driver (a little sadness for me as a long time subscriber) then got the big payday with Carsandbids.com. Unsure what the hockey equivalent would be but THG deserves it.
  9. This is where I go. YouTube premium. Hopefully the Hockey Guy is making serious $$$.
  10. Finger Lakes Race Track perhaps.
  11. Exactly. And yesterday TSN/Sportsnet were saying he's the front runner for Toronto GM vacancy! Old boys club much? Also wasn't Bennett closely behind Reinhart that year and the Calgary pick? Much lesser degree, but another piece.
  12. So bad. I was half watching and was like wait what? Cut to a Columbus feature? Seemed like a typical NHL mistake, miles behind the other leagues in terms competence and professionalism.
  13. First time in my life I've wanted Bruins to win. Was never a fan of that smug Reinhart. Think of where he fits on the current Sabres team relative to moxy. Slightly ahead of olofsson? Glad we traded him, may he remain smug somewhere else. Montour less hate but was a complete zero for us. Loser. Hall quit on us but I've come to respect Marchand. So push. Gross I know. Ullmark seems like a great human, so neutral there too but actually he almost did us like Drury. So next up is the Rangers. I hope they lose tonight because I hold an irrational grudge against Drury for screwing us. Throw in P Kane as a bad human rep of Buffalo for good measure. Boo Rangers. Vegas we probably all agree on. Thin skin? Ok.
  14. and did they just say they healthy scratched Kessel after 1100+ games for Carrier? dang.
  15. So safe to assume for general sale, for lower bowl, $200+ round 1. $300+ round 2. Average price rd 1 $125?, 19,000 * 125 = $2,375,000. + beers and jerseys. Home ice if 4 games, $8M in tickets per round. Noice. TP gonna be making some money over the next 5 years! Good for him, I've been saving up.
  16. Same. Fight in Nashville game? Though not sure he actually landed a punch. In the Devils game he had an awkward move avoiding a hit and went down the tunnel after.
  17. Yeah dousing optimism, Moneypuck is 3.3% today. Seems like a pretty flawed algorithm, probably strongly weighted against the game tomorrow and FL being the favorite. They have Isles, Pens, and FL at >60%. https://moneypuck.com/predictions.htm
  18. High risk high reward. Levi. Won't be mad if it's Comrie.
  19. Not gonna disagree. I think all are respected pros, but none have the rep/resume to say "follow me" when push comes to shove @ playoff time ie March wildcard fight.
  20. Also a first year STH/"Member", half season, driving in from ROC. It has been great! Definitely a luxury item and first thing to go if things get tight, but it has turned into quality time on the regular with family and friends. The team is entertaining and likeable. There's small perks like this Adams thing (not making the drive for that), discounts on merch, and general feeling of being invested with the entire organization. Maybe that's a little cheesy but so be it. Also, playoff tickets when the time comes are guaranteed. And after following this team for about 30 years (broke for the first ~10, too busy raising kids for ~10, and ***** team for ~10) I'm not missing it when they return to cup contender. The downsides - yeah it's expensive. And is the invasions from visiting teams fans is extremely annoying. It's one thing to have a handful of out-of-town jerseys. It's another to have to compete against the opposing team's cheer. For that reason I strongly encourage everyone to buy-in and take our arena back. The game is awesome in person. The sounds, the better view of the ice, the comradery and energy celebrating goals and wins with 1000s of like minded fans. Find a friend or family member you want to hang with and make memories together and invest in this team and community we love! Do not regret it. Already looking forward to 23-24 season.
  21. Weren't their clips of him practicing w/ the team on socials? Or maybe that was that just extra ice time. Adams or Granato said with certainty they would like to get him a few starts this year so he can marinate over the summer like they did with Power last year. Just needed papers and NHL certification of new pads and yeah some practice. They were public about papers arriving, assume pads are cleared now too, so should be good to go. I agree tho, not a no-brainer with consideration to Comrie's shutout.
  22. Anyone know if Stillman was a healthy scratch last night or is he injured? Clague had a bad turnover early and ended up limited to 9 minutes. Bryson/Clague 3rd pair is not something I'd like to see tonight.
  23. Yes. And at -115 before they adjusted to -125. Almost there!
