  1. The reality is we are going to have to make do with what we have, for now. Every team goes through the cap crunch time period. As I eluded to earlier in a post, the Bills had to remove some cap given their success, clearing the way for fresh contracts and another run. Their first run was stopped by KC each and every time. They'll be fine, next season isn't the end, it's not even the beginning of the end. But it is perhaps, the end of the beginning.
  2. The hype on the receiver issue on the roster is reaching ridiculous levels now. The Bills lost Diggs, who was irrelevant the last 6 to 8 games, including the playoffs where he dropped a Josh Allen in the basket touchdown pass with 8 min left against the Chiefs, and Davis who dropped passes or couldn't get open so often that no one knew he was playing 80% of the time. The passing game will be fine.
  3. Noise is very minimal. But I work around large motors and pumps, streamlines, all day, so I'm hearing defeceint as it is.
  4. Here she is when I unpacked her.... Edit: I normally cut twice a week. I'll keep a running tally on both the machines performance as well as the electric bill increase for ya, but the bill aspect should be negligible when compared to gas, oil and so forth.
  5. Picked up the Ryobi 80v 0 turn 42" deck electric mower. 1st use today. 1 acre, thick, plush lawn grass, started at 84% charge on 2 x 10ah 80v and 2 8ah 40v, upon completion, 21%. If the 3rd 80v and additional 2 40v are purchased, I can fully see the 3 acre capacity claimed by Ryobi as a very real claim. She performed superbly, cut through the 5 and 6 inch grass on low blade and low speed mode with ease, no second cut was needed. Highly recommend this product if your looking to get away from oil changes, gas.
  6. Beane's doing the right thing here. To bad the first build around Josh couldn't defeat Mahomes. But, this coming season is going to be a nose dive while we wait the season to clear cap to add again. Happens to all teams as far as hitting the cap wall.
  7. This Sabres Fans generations Danny Briere. Now..... Bring us the head....with body attached....of this Sabres Fans generation capt. clutch, Chris Drury.
  8. Where will Ruff have the biggest impact on this team? Introducing the players to his boot size hopefully.
  9. From whats rumored he set up a speed dating interview process with 12 candidates. They started at 10am, just after brunch, ended at 10:10am. From what I hear, Lindy was the only one that used the tic tacs before sitting down, that sold Adams.
  10. I'm super psyched about it. We are going back to the playoffs. Lindy for 1st governor of the 51st state....Western New York!!!
  11. I knew it! I knew somewhere, deep down in your bowels, you were a Lindy fan.
  12. Respectfully, I disagree. They'll be in the playoffs next year with Lindy behind the bench, and hear me out LG. They've never experienced a coach with his style yet, was he the best choice? No, I concur with you that it was a knee jerk reaction to both the "soft" label and the brand destruction that has occurred. Adams has to address the roster, that will be meaningful assets moving out to bring in that which could propel the team to competitive contention. But Lindy isn't a horrible choice, given the bar is low and so are the revenue generating coffers. Is it a shi tty deal for us that want a cup? Half and half, since nothing is guaranteed, but Pegula knows he has to right the ship. Just my view, my honest view, is all.
  13. What does this have to do with Lindy? Adams as the GM is in charge of the roster assets available. The current core of the roster will make the playoffs this coming seadon, bank on it. It's up to Kyven, not Lindy, to acquire the pieces for cup contention.
  14. I have to ask why lol. I highly respect all here, but if SDS responds, I pay attention. Never met them outside of here, but I value his input seeing all that he has seen. It peeks my interest is all.
  15. Come on SDS, a puke emoji for a banner? The teams last 13 seasons? Ya, it's all subjective on the futures view, but a puke emoji for support of that with which we are familiar and had a decent run in the tenure they were here? Lol, not a fan of the choice, or not a fan of a fan who's so elated at the choice a puke emoji was worthy? Ya, I'm riding it a bit. I found it funny given the teams journey since his exit is all.
  16. I just know he's good at getting a roster to make the playoffs. We'll see if it goes beyond that.
  17. Maybe. But Kulich is close. I do share your ciew though. We need vets, not more youth. Correct me if I'm incorrect in assessing your view LG, and my apologies if I am incorrect.
  18. I just informed my wife, the entire family is going, I'm making a banner, you all will be proud of. I promise you, they will show it on TV. I'm so excited.
  19. Hate it, have disdain for it, feel it's not good enough........I don't care. At 53, heading for 54 yrs old, I'm all in on a man I both watched as a player (skated with at sabresland in wheatfield as a 10 to 12 yr old kid as my mom dated an....acquaintance of the players. I actually skated at 5 yrs old with the connection, and yes, it was awesome), as well as cheered with glee as our teams coach. Lindy was, is and will be the coach for what needs done here in accountability. I have 0 doubts we are playoff bound next year. My only hesitation left is my confidence in Adams. You made the right coaching selection Kyven, you brought in an individual strong on accountability. Now, do you have it within you to finish the job? To bring in the roster components needed to put us as a cup contention team? The task is not complete Kyven, the ball is still in your court...... GET........IT........DONE!!!!! I feel, I feel a youthful energy in me today after hearing Lindy is back. Get it done boys, get it done!!!!
  20. Different coaching philosophy styles for sure. Lindy is a solid veteran coach, to deny that is ridiculous. But I hear you, and many others, that heavily question if he's "the right coach" to go on a cup run. I have faith in Lindy, his style is indeed accountability. Imho.
  21. He's not wrong either. Lindy gives me full faith in that. It's up to Adams to get us the assets to fill in the blanks to get us a cup. I'm very elated Lindy is back.
  22. I don't know SDS, I'm listening to what is being said from those within the organization. I'm not saying my feels are completely correct, but oof man, the being pushed and practice atmosphere comments, ya, I'm not thrilled about that. You are of course correct, hindsight is 20/20. But man, 13 seasons now, players comments like these, where was the urgency from them on the ice? Because they to hold accountability in the outcome. The coach, coaching staff, if it wasn't good enough early on and the season was slipping in to yet another "let's play catch up" mode, which, as we all witnessed and knew, happening in real time, where was the guidance from that coach and coaching staff? Where were the adjustments before it came to that, yet again? Like I said, it gets under my skin a bit given the full context of the organizations past seasonal patterns. Meh, it is reactionary of course, but I no likey the atmosphere portrayed by some of the comments is all.
  23. I'm questioning heavily Adams decision to "see how it plays out" this season. Clearly change was needed behind the bench, as many of us here on Sabrespace were acutely aware of. Hell, even patient, smart-ass me started a thread to can Granato. As more and more comments from people within the organization are made publicly, such as Adams "not good enough" and some of the players "we need to be pushed" or "practise was a joke", one thing is becoming abundantly clear, the commitment to winning was not given serious consideration, imho. We are through the looking glass here people. For myself, I am actually a bit pissed these issues are coming to light. My love for the Sabres, like so many, is life long. To hear these sentiments spoken from inside, ya, I'm f'n pissed it was allowed to fester like this.
  24. Ya, outside of my 2mg a day of my blood pressure meds (I'm anti-pharma to a point, but also realize my weight put me on these), I don't dabble. A beer or bourbon every great once in awhile. Truth be told Aud, I keep myself busy. Hell, I'm still climbing machinery at work with fairly nimble agility still. But the weight, food is 1 of my 2 weak spots, love me some good, rich food.
