Was there a JBott sighting on Elmwood this morning, enjoying a root beer float? Where is he? -
Colin Miller is Interesting.

Awfully quiet early on from the Sabres. hoping they have a plan.
-
If he's all but locked up for SJ, as Rivet suggests, then why is he meeting with Dallas and Tampa? Something isn't lining up here...…. https://www.tsn.ca/san-jose-sharks-captain-joe-pavelski-to-make-ufa-visits-this-week-1.1327675

I did go pick up the Wegman's plastic bags I threw out at the neighbor who walks down the street every day, I was wondering why the wife kept saying that wasn't Terry on the leash...………...
-
I know, I know, and you are correct. Just my frustrations at this freaking gong show since Pegula showed up that brings out the hardcore ass hat in me. Carry on...……….
-
Nope, not unless it was a trade chip in a deal of some sort to impact the actual roster now.
-
I was a lurker of these boards since before the Pegula's bought the team. I read as PA would post his skepticism on their ownership over the years before I joined to talk what little I knew about NHL hockey in general. I have to say, I am now firmly with PA's early days assessment of the Pegula's, they are amongst the worst owners in the league. And that decision didn't come immediately, it was solidified in the past 2 seasons. Under the Pegula's ownership, since 2011, the Buffalo Sabres have been if not the worst, one of the bottom 3 worst teams in the league. And not just in the win/loss column mind you, but decision making at every level. They are completely without a winning leadership. I have no hope in Botterill, no hope in his new coach hire, and no hope for what talent there is on the team, which, lets face it, isn't much. Since the Pegula's have taken over, this NHL organization is one of the historically worst in the modern NHL era. I firmly believe it would be in the interest of the Buffalo Sabres Club, it's fans and the larger NHL fan base if they were to sell and move along. The product has been that bad, just...…………….that bad.

Perfect, in the mean time, I'll be approaching my 60's, a fan of the team since it's inception in to the league, still waiting for a Stanley Cup. Sounds like a great plan from where I'm sitting.

Any word on when Zucker goes to Boston?

Your predictions: what is Botterill going to do?

My prediction on what Botterill is going to do...………… Continue to sit in the corner sucking his thumb mumbling "mamma" while the rest of the league makes moves to try and improve their clubs. -
Another Mitts? Great, can't wait to watch his 6 goal, 13 assist 74 game rookie season.
-
Have no idea what rounds these picks were in, since we just stopped posting the round. Is this guy any good?
-
Big boy for his age. 6'6". Should look good in 5 to 6 years for the Sabres given Goalie development time I reckon. Not unhappy with this pick, seems to be decent.
-
So quiet on the Sabres trade front that Botterill heard a pin drop and thought is was the phone ringing...…………………...
-
Rather surprised at the lack of trades, even to move up or down via picks. Does this indicate GM's are valuing 1st rd picks for their own internal team building process? When listening to Botterill's interview, appears the Sabres inquired about moving up, and trading 31 for a current player in a deal but none of that came to fruition. I am now wondering about players like Zucker and such, what will it take to trade for players if picks aren't in the packages from this draft? Next years draft picks maybe as currency in trades?
-
I don't know about gutsy, just makes sense given our needs and other teams.
-
I don't think we pick at 31, I think we are trading it.
-
Everyone outside of Philly keeping their 1st rd pick so far, and all Philly did was move up. Interesting.
-
Not a whiff of Buffalo in trade talks during the draft so far...……………………...that 31st pick has to be a needle mover for someone. Minnesota perhaps and Zucker?

I have a feeling with Horvat, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
