Montreal taking advantage of a Sabres Signature 2nd Period.

I like that Reinhart/Mittlestadt connection there. I also like Nylander back checking skating. He seems to recognize when to turn the jets on.

Typo. higher than 20. If it doesn't reach 20, regardless of where the San Jose pick above 20, it's our as long as it's not top 10. Right now, I'm rooting for every team possible to stomp on the Blues, there are so few games left. I like the fact they have Tampa tonight, then, face Vegas ? There is always hope, as Capt. Kirk said ?

? He's not exactly a hockey website driver is he lol

We traded either the San Jose or St. Louis pick, which ever is higher, to Anaheim in the Montour deal. The St. Louis pick can only be retained by St. Louis if it's top 10. So, if the Blues finish in the 15 to 19 position, which is where they are floating around at right now, and they don't make the Conference finals, which, I don't see them getting past the 2nd rd of the playoffs, quite frankly, I don't see them getting out of the 1st round as the top tier teams consistently man handle them, then the Blues pick is ours. If it goes above 20, but is lower than the San Jose pick, then the Blues pick goes to Anaheim. I'd rather have Anaheim have the San Jose pick, as it doesn't appear they are not dropping below 25th over all come draft time. I'd like the Blues to stay below 20 before the playoffs.

I hate myself for this, but really need Montreal to pull it out in regulation, for the sake of the Blues pick to stay below 20th. But, GO SABRES!!!!!

That bad huh Thompson is just horrible., but then again, so much of our roster is.
-
How bad has it been? Just got out of class.

Been beating this drum for awhile now. That Tavares signing really tied them up.
-
Kansas City and Chicago are. Spent winter months in both, Buffalo may get down to the occasional -10 to -20 extreme, but KC and Chicago were in that territory often when I was there.

Thanks

I'm hoping they trade down from 9. Anyone know of a site where you can play with trades as armchair GM?
-
At least it wasn't all caps ?
-
We got a point, they got a point, all bad
-
Well isn't this just the worst possible draft position outcome, points for both teams
-
That goal shouldn't be. I saw 2 penalties that weren't called, blatant interference on Reinhart on one of those, anyone else see it? Thank you, I wasn't the only one. And it was blatant.

Sheary was built for Western Conference Hockey.
-
Well, stick #2368990 for Risto, leading to another opposition goal ?
-
If I'm not mistaken those are 2 primary assists as well. What were the trade conditions on Sheary again?
-
I really hope they win this one. Keep St. Louis pick below that 20th spot.

Could this be the year we DON'T want the 1st over all? I find humor in this.

Oh SDS I jest, I realize there is nothing he can say that's going to take away the disappointing feelings from both the fans and players alike. I don't normally point fingers at the coach or GM, but in this seasons case, given it's now year 2 of this GM/Coach regime and things have actually remained status quo, I definitely have serious reservations about either's ability in their respective positions. While I realize the mess Murray left, the returns on jettisoning some talent from here(i.e. Kane and ROR) is highly questionable, and the players brought in as roster filler are equally highly questionable. As for the coaching, this Carolina game is an excellent example, actually, text book example of the differences in coaching strategy/coaching ability. The Cane's if you notice played a high pressure the puck carrier, tight body checking game against the Sabres, which has been well established NHL wide as how to defeat this Sabres team. Smother them and they make mistakes, terrible mistakes. Now, the coach should be able to devise a strategy whereby that counter move by other coaches can be countered and give some fluidity to the Sabres game. After all, these players on the Sabres all can't be AHL fodder. And yet, we see the same coaching strategies from Housley game after game. So when you ask what I expect him to say, what would make me happy? In all seriousness, honesty, either about his lack of abilities to compensate for league wide set strategies against his players or call out the players themselves in harsh, abrasive truth's about their unwillingness or are unable to implement counter strategies to find stability. Trots would have no problem doing this. And he's a fairly successful coach.

Buffalo with the 2nd over all on the first try lol

You sly dog you ?

Can't wait for Housley to say in the post game they were in it to the end, he was impressed with the teams improvement, it's hard to score goals in this league, they need to learn to play defense...………...etc......etc...……..
