Because they don't give a hoot about Buffalo fans. We are one of the smallest markets in the league, they could literally care less about this region, regardless of TV viewer ship. They don't care. This region was once just over 3 million people, it isn't now, not even close. We fans have 0 pull here in the Buffalo region when it comes to the NHL.

Well, St. Louis winning a cup certainly has the league all smiles given the length of time it took there, and ROR was undeniably the catalyst for that venture to occur. As I said, I'm 100% positive warm fuzzy feelings everywhere, including NHL HQ that Botterill is Buffalo........

After the ROR trade I'm more than positive the entire leagues management teams love them some Botterill in Buffalo.......

Great, talk of Pegulas being frustrated, just like us fans. One difference, he's getting paid for his frustrations, which I'm sure helps lesson the blow, we fans on the other hand, well were frustrated and we often pay to be, that increases the frustration.

This line of thinking baffles me. What future? Seriously. I mean, as it stands right now, I don't see a future for this team that includes success. I don't see Cozens coming right in to the NHL, they made that mistake with Mittelstadt. Who else 8s there? Borgen? Great, we have another RHD on a team that is currently over flowing with RHD's. I see no immediate help coming from the system. Maybe my vision is skewed, but it is how I am viewing the situation.

I mean, I like the optimism, but the current roster configuration are dropping like flies on the first frost of the year day. And not just by injuries either. Mitts is a non injury example. This team is just horribly assembled imo.

Nice to see what he can bring to the big club. Hopefully he gets a game or 2.

I'd rather have Pommers and Vanek at this point.

I expect him to quietly ask for a trade a year from now, if not sooner, like the off season. Seriously. I wouldn't stick around for this, would you?

This has been the MO of this team for years now. Why would any one expect anything different. I am surprised people actually believed they were In the playoff race while 10 points back this time of the season while knowing full well the roster short comings of this team. This team is garbage, we all know this. There is no playoffs coming, not this season and most likely not next season, there is just to much of a disaster from ownership and management to the coaching staff and roster. It's a complete disaster here in Buffalo and has been for years now.

lol The Sabres going to lose their first game back, a home game, to a team with one of the worst power plays in the league, by allowing 3 power play goals, all while the GM feeds the fans a load of crap about this home game run a chance to get in to the playoff race while he looks for roster help...…. They need size for a net front presence, they sorely lack it.
