  1. Where did this new Sabres team come from? I like
  2. New info from friend in Japan. Of the 3,000 + quarantined on the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship at Yokohama Naval Base our family friend says the numbers of confirmed and suspected cases are not accurate. He said it's a fluid situation and behind closed doors there are concerns the virus may or already could have cut loose in the local area where the ship is at. They are quietly investigating.
  3. He doesn't address the Defensive assets available at all. I suspect a couple of D men are gone at the deadline, along with a couple of forwards. And at this point and time, I'm not really interested in collecting draft picks for the future, but, there may be a couple coming back.
  4. Good catch and thanks.
  5. Carolina 1st and one of Wallmark (C, 24 yrs old, RFA), Haula (C, 24 yrs old, UFA) or Gauthier (RW, 22 yrs old, 1yr left @ $863,333 ELC). For Montour Risto will cost more imo.
  6. I am hoping the Sabres sign Lazar to a 2 or 3 year deal in the off season. He's a very reasonable 3rd/4th liner.
  7. Hey, looks like the Sabres are starting their playoff push this night...…………. I give them 1,054 to 1 odds of making it...….. too kind?
  8. COME ON RISTO!!!!! Throw those F'ing gloves off for Christ's sake, he poked your goalie AFTER the whistle. Man, get Risto out of here, if he isn't going to throw down and windmill those guns he built up lifting tires all summer, he's useless. Ship his ass out.
  9. So I go and sit on the throne right after the Wings goal and......wa'la, Buffalo answered back. Is this a sign of a turn around? Stay tuned...……..
  10. 27 seconds in eh? It's beginning to look a lot like top 3 pick, all the live long day...………….
  11. Only confirms what a family friend has been saying out of Japan. Fear mongering? I don't think so. A day after a team of World Health Organization (WHO) medical experts arrived in China to help investigate the deadly coronavirus outbreak, the health agencies director said "the virus poses a very grave threat for the rest of the world"
  12. Buffao Sabres 2016-2017 roster https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0000332017.html Buffalo Sabres 2017-2018 roster https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0000332018.html Talent on thee roster, same results as the past 2 seasons. Sorry, but I don't see talent as the primary culprit here.
  13. The point is he was here, and he is talented, he's consistently been a 20 to 30 goal/40 to 50 point player.
  14. I would normally agree with this......except, This team had high end talent: Ryan O'Reilly - Conn smythe winner, 1C Evander Kane - 2nd line LW power forward Jeff Skinner - 1 / 2 line LW finisher Jack Eichel, Samson Reinhart Individuals that espouse "lack of talent" baffle individuals such as myself. The talent was/is here. Even Girgs has potted 15 to 20 in the past. Sheath didn't look as horrible as he does here. Johansson has done better. And the list goes on. A part of that system these players cratered their careers in while here in Buffalo is not only the acceptance of the play, it is also the atmosphere or environment that is a good portion of the foundation for its existence........"Culture".
  15. What else is new? #Culture ?
  16. Sorry shrader, I didn't mean Plato, my bad, but I literally chuckle at these responds, so there's that at least ?
  17. Exactly. The #1 underlying issue isn't the talent of the players here, it's the culture, and not just in the locker room, but up and down the organization. Losing has been accepted here at Key Bank Center. No players will even consider coming here until that changes, and I highly suspect an overwhelming majority of the current players here quietly want the hell out I'd surmise. The Pegula's must grab the bull by the horns and change this situation immediately. As each day passes, the longer they wait, the more entrenched the "losing culture" stigma becomes. Imho.
  18. Nice return for Zucker. Speedy winger with some touch, Crosby and/or Malkin will love him. Looks like teams are starting to arm up, can't wait for the 5th rounder for Bogo to come in, that one excites me, and the 4th for Rodriquez, I'm tingling...………..all while our former shining Sabres spiral down in to the pit of NHL despair and end up thumping in to a splatted piece of Plato thrown off a 40 story building roof. But hey, the draft position is getting better...…………..SQUIRREL!!!!!...………………... nothing to see here, moving along.
  19. I'm with ya. I started running the lottery generator and reading up and watching video on the top 10 picks of this c9ming draft. Bayfield at 6'4"? Center, but didn't look speedy on the videos I saw. Had hands though. Couple of RW'ers Holtz? and another guy, 6' or shorter. Hope we hit in the top 2 I guess.
  20. It was critical we get another RHD, since, you know, we don't have enough ?
  21. Oh yea, they had a good 3rd, against a team that is on the verge of passing us in the league standings, sinking us in to the bottom 5, yet again. Let's face it Huckleberry, there isn't a whole lot to grab on to positive wise, not only for this recent last 7 or 8 games, but this season and these past 2 years. I won't include the tanking years, although, I should, but this team is not only heading nowhere fast, I don't see it changing for the next year or 2 on top of that. Now I could be wrong about that last comment, but given the personnel decisions from this most recent management team the odds are heavily in my opinions favor, as of now.
  22. Judging by their shooting, they don't either......
  23. 30th vs 30th, interesting
