  1. I'll take "Come on in, the water is fine" for 400 Alex
  2. While skeptical, I stand in awe of your ability to find faith, especially after all these years. Your post has so affected me, so inspired me, that It willed me to respond and let you know of my skepticism 😛
  3. Interesting. Washington doesn't suffer the same issue, I'm going to say it's roster building and coaching that are the issue. Just a hunch, but after years of this nonsense, not far off the mark I'd wager.
  4. So is the Titanic 🙂
  5. Sorry, I just can't get enough mojo in me to get excited.
  6. We're running out of local Billionaires lol
  7. Been this way in Buffalo for a number of years now. GM's and Coaches come and go, the tie that binds? The same philosophy on addressing the roster, there was only 1 that was different at GM, Tim Murray. Not that I was sold on him, but, he was different in philosophy, he was much more aggressive at player acquisition.
  8. Yep, but, in Buffalo it's coached.................and that is truly the baffling side of this all.
  9. Well my fellow die-hards, Welcome to Buffalo Sabres Hockey!
  10. That play, right there, the one where the Buffalo player could have continued the pressure way down low by the Capitals net, but decided to back off, that is a big problem. They are coached that way, that is not pressure, that is playing scared, playing conservative, that won't win you games.
  11. Washington's compete, hunger, skating, stick handling and puck possession is light years ahead of the Sabres.
  12. Darling and RJ are all i've ever known on an overwhelming scale, it will be tough to let go. I find RJ's voice soothing, even during the down years, even if he's off in to outer space, I don't care, just to have his voice over on the TV, I can't let that go, not yet.
  13. Just very bad footwork and stickwork by the Sabres
  14. Yep. It's very telling that RK doesn't believe in Bag Skates, isn't it though............
  15. Well, I would say jitters, I would say rusty, I would say need time to jell, but what I won't say is the Sabres "should've had a V8"
  16. The Sabres are doing what the Sabres have done for 9 seasons now to be honest. Not much has changed on a good portion of the roster, no hunger in the players play, it's been the same for years I'm afraid.
  17. Going about the way I expected. No puck possession by the Sabres, been the same problem for quite some time 5 v 5 now. Same Defense, same chaotic lack of puck control, same desperate look, same goaltending = same results. Well, first game in, my optimism is fading quickly already to be honest. I mean, if you can't get up the energy and get it together for your season opener which happens to be a home opener, then I got nothing...............
  18. Come on Boys............. JUST WIN BABY, JUST WIN!!!!! GO SABRES!!!!!!
  19. The optimist in me: "HOCKEY!!! GO SABRES!!!!! The pessimist in me: "Same Defense, Same Goalie tandem? Adams you suck!!!" I'll start the season with optimist me, and go from there.....
  20. So, if Skinner cannot, or will not practise and implement the team principles successfully, do they ask him to waive his NMC and expose him to the expansion draft, try and trade him or just sit 9 mil aav in the press box for a good number of years? I guess I'm not understanding where Skinner goes from here if he cannot acclimate to the team principles.
  21. What a tragic turn of events for Evander. Hope he finds a way to control his impulses.
