  1. Lock him up to 3 seasons at 3.5 or so a season, at least, I'm hoping those are the numbers.
  2. This is what I see happening as well. Both Hutton and Ullmark go to market next off season cements my belief a trade of some magnitude is coming.
  3. Where does that put us cap wise, 75 mil?
  4. Nothing has actually changed for myself in any event. I still suspect he gets moved.
  5. Here's to hoping Buffalo is that Hub spot. It would be good for the exposure, at least, we all tell ourselves that every time one of these "pick Buffalo, pick Buffalo" scenarios shows up. And it seems nice, until...... Some personality shits all over the city or region in an interview or social platform comments. That's when the angry mom protecting her child syndrome kicks in, or so it seems anyways. But still, I'd like Buffalo to be a Hub city.
  6. Ok, Kahun still not signed. Does anyone find this a bit unusual? Like maybe something has to happen arbitration or trade wise first? Curious.
  7. I know little to nothing about code, but thank you SDS for all that you do.
  8. Sounds reasonable. However, I believe the clock has struck midnight on Sam. I don't believe he'll be a Sabres when the season starts to be honest, and here is my reasoning...... Olofsson, although a lefty, can play the right side, is surely going to be a cheaper contract and can be signed with 2 or 3 years of term (we'll get to why the term is important in a moment)l Given the rumored trade talks with Calgary from one of our own board members who has called information correctly in the recent past, I believe a top 6 forward and goalie were the topics of discussion?, I do not believe Gaudreau or Monahan were the forwards targeted by the Sabres, I believe it is Lindholm, and the reason is simple, he's a right handed shot, same as Sam, only, on a reasonable contract, and I believe Rittich is the goalie. Buffalo would be sending one of their RHD's I suspect as well. An actual Hockey trade, a top line RW and a 3/4 RHD for a top line RW and a goalie. I can see this happening, and here is my reasoning mentioned above, Buffalo is drafting right hand shot RW's, sign Olofsson to a 2 or 3 year contract, bring in Lindholm and Samson becomes expendable, if no other reason than continued cap control. Why? Because I believe Buffalo plans on re-signing Hall and solidifying the top 2 line LW position with Skinner and him, they also plan to solidify the top 2 center position with Eichel and Cozens eventually. The right wing looks to be the cost control mechanism, if, and I understand if, they plan on re-signing Hall. I can't see why they wouldn't given his age and production potential. I'm probably wrong, but it appears to make some sense. Stabilize the cost, keep scoring talent together for a bit to show Eichel the organization means business on winning, leaves room for Dahlin contract, and flexibility to bring in other components.
  9. Meh, I'm not concerned. The Bills traded defensive cap for offensive cap, and just like when the offense didn't show up it squandered the defensive play, the vice versa is true. There are some areas of need to address, for starters, the lack of any cohesive ground game. For all of the talk on how the ground game isn't as important, I give you the Buffalo Bills as an example that it is. For reasons we all I'm sure know. The kicking game, specifically field goals, yikes! The defense front 4 or 5, specifically run stuffing interior linemen and outside rush/contain specialists, we don't have them, yet. Still work to be done, but improvement overall from years past. On to the next game.
  10. Gilbert, second to none.
  11. Great job! Keep on keeping on, and welcome aboard.
  12. Speaking of buying, my brother picked up this for my future hall of swords today at an estate sale....
  13. The Leafs relying heavily on their big 3 again.
  14. I believe Buffalo and Calgary would make decent trade partners. Both can address needs for the other. As for the top 6, I'm not sure on the Monahan situation, read a little via tweets but just not really up to speed on him and why they'd be willing to move him. As for Gaudreau, another LW'er? Has Skinner already agreed to waive his NTC or something? Lol. Obviously I jest, but I'm going to deduce a deal of a top 6 forward and a backup goalie is going to be Gaudreau or Monahan. Not sure on Lindholm, maybe one of the other members can speak to his game and potential. Top 6 forward seems interesting, but once again, what really interests me is the net minder scenario. If it's a lateral move cap space wise, Hutton for Rittich, I'll assume they intend to move Hutton somehow given I don't see Calgary taking him back in a deal and they just inked Markstrom and Domingue. I'm down with that. I would also surmise a deal like this puts Ullmark in full control of #1. I assume we'd be looking at one of the RD's going out and something else?
  15. Now there's something you don't see everyday.
  16. Given Kruegers comments on they are our goaltenders now, I see a trade coming for an upgrade at goalie.
  17. They need LB and DL help on D and a running game improvement (The running game is a noticeable absence this season imho). Otherwise, a 4-1 start to the season isn't bad at all. Tough one to lose, but learn from it and move on.
  18. I will be living tonight's game thr9ugh y'all, while I be getting me some of them edumacations....
  19. Agreed, with that said, we have to many PMD's and literally near 0 shutdown D. Plus goaltending is average to sub-par.
  20. Looking at Buffalo's D situation on capfriendly. Is Borgen ready yet? What about Fitzgerald. Also, does Pilut get a shot at a full time LD position? Looks like the Sabres have some options to move a couple of D and at least 1 forward and still have some depth, no?
  21. I think that was a forced scenario. Vancouver had Vegas bent over a barrel situation I suspect, given that length of contract for Schmidt. Good d man though. Also, Vegas roster is now 21/23, and they are still over the cap by a couple million. Something around Hutton and Fluery with some prospect/pick asset(s) coming back interest you? Was typing it as you responded lol Damn these old fat fingers 😄
  22. Fluery to Buffalo and Vegas needs to pay a heavy toll. Fills both teams needs, but at 7 for 2 more seasons, I want the hammer to drop in additions from Vegas 😄
  23. Going to be some movement out of Vegas for sure.
  24. I like the "concept of" 🚨 "at the moment".
  25. Good signing, addresses scoring depth in top 6. Don't stop now KA, make the next move.
