GDT Islanders at Buffalo 5/3/21 7pm MSG, WGR550

So, we've found our 3rd 1A goalie this season? What are the odds on an injury inside of 3 games? 4 to 3? -
Curious, has anyone ever set Alexa and Siri next to one another and have them ask each other questions?

Well, not exactly. Yes, the Win/Loss column is going south again, but, the team is playing markedly better under Granato. I do concede he isn't the top choice for coach given the roller coaster, but, with that said, he's still in the conversation to be sure. Unfortunately, and I say this with the upmost respect, LG and others pointed to talent, and to addition by subtraction, they are correct. There needs to be further roster turn over. There needs to be a stabilizing coaching staff to build on that turnovers results, imho. -
My brother and I Spoke, mom did her first round of Chemo. 3 days of hell for her. We ARE NOT going to be sitting idly by on the sidelines while she fights this battle. Stage 4, lung cancer, yes. We are well aware of the outcome, but she cannot get the vaccine now. So, my brother and I decided a road trip, to COLORADO. New York isn't a holistic friendly state, yet. Close, but not quite there. After speaking with an industry peer who lost his mom to the exact same small cell cancer, we are going to Colorado to get whatever the dispensaries have to give mom a fighting chance for quality of life. My mom is worth every bit of it. Never a cross word, only love in her heart. We are brewing dandylion roots, we are looking at EVERY known scenario.

I was a bong a day kid, I played at the "highest" level, for myself in any event, at the ponds, Sabreland and in midgets. Were there "higher" kids? Probably, but I was feeling good, each and every game 😛

Would like to keep Reinhart, if possible. With that said, your "For the record" view of Reinhart, I.E. he cannot be soft because he is the teams best net front goal scorer, is heavily misleading, at best, imho. The fact is, Reinhart doesn't take nearly the abuse in front of the net your comments subconsciously suggests. Yes, he does have a good stick in front of the net, no, he is not getting the "what for" from opposing D in most cases. He has been historically career wise, a softer player. That isn't something you can draw up on analytics either, it's straight out the eye test, again, imho. With that being said, I'd keep Sam for sure, again, if at all possible.

I chuckle when fans complain about these draft picks. This management team and coaching staff just brought the Bills to the AFC championship game in short order. They are both short and long term strategists.

Just best to prepare for any possible eventualities is all.

My 2nd is the 26th, Moderna. Ya, I read what all who have done it post. I'm already prepping my employer, told them I may take the extended Memorial Day time.

Update on my mum. Tomorrow 4 - 6 hours, Sunday 4 hours, Monday 1 - 4 hours treatments. Then 3 weeks and do it again. Full body MRI. This type of cancer is aggressive, but the Doctors at Roswell don't put a time frame because each individual reacts differently. We were talking and mum mentioned losing her hair, we're getting her CBD, pot, edibles, whatever she wants, she laughed. She looked at me and said "so, your mom's going to be a stoner". I smiled and told her I'm getting her a 60's hippy wig, a Bob Marley shirt and a pair of cool shades so she can fully play the part. 😄 We laughed and joked for a good time about that today. Trying to make the best of the situation, anything to keep her mind off the gloom.

Wonder bread and bologna can be arranged;) And afterwards, lace'em up, the pond freezes quick and the nets are brand new..... -
1st shot tomorrow, 2nd shot scheduled for.....May 26th? Well, alrighty then. On a very somber, sad, side note, I posted earlier my 72 yr old mom went to Roswell last week for testing. Stage 4, terminal 😞 I am numb. My mother is a huge part of me. I put on a good show visiting her today, but ya, tears, a lot of tears behind my sunglasses.

I've changed with age. Gone are the days at the sports pub, arrived are the backyard days. Now, once the 96" TV goes in, the backyard will feel like a sports pub.... 🙂 -

Those waffles are worth running to though:) -
I'm not denying he has consistency. I'm saying he hasn't shown consistency at the elevation LG posted.
-
Sorry Thorny, but basing his seasonal statistics on an 82 game average isn't a complete picture of the entirety of the story. The fact is, Eichel didn't play 82 games in any 9f those seasons. Recalculation based on actual games played drops those numbers. And as I've said repeatedly now, it's not an anti-Eichel thing, he's a very good player in his own right, but telling the whole story lends credence to his value, both within the talent level and organization.
-
Who is/was a more talented player? Drury or Eichel?
Scottysabres replied to Zamboni's topic in The Aud Club
Your right LOL, because it isn't even close. While Drury was plastering a Stanley Cup poster outside of the dressing room setting the team goal expectation bar high, he also actually went out on the ice and fully backed that up with his on ice play, willing the team to the playoffs and playing pivotal, franchise history making moments in deep playoff runs. Eichel, to date, not so much. Talent? There's more to talent than a season statistical score sheet, imho. -
And this is where you and I part ways. Drury was absolutely as talented as Eichel, imho. His ability to be positioned to acure the nickname "Captain Clutch" wasn't merely luck. It was on ice hockey acumen and vision. Something Eichel hasn't shown with remotely the same consistency, again, imo. Perreault, Martin, Hasek, Andreychuk, Robert, Andreychuk, LaFontaine, Molginy, Hawerchuk, Drury, Miller, Vanek and #13, Eichel. In that order, based on what I've witnessed over 45 years. Now, Eichel can over take some of them, but he hasn't shown it yet, imo.
-
I cannot answer the question, it would be construed as "recency bias"...... 😛
-
Jack's had 1 season at 80+, another close, so he "may", and I stress "may" turn in some consistency on the score sheet at that level. But in 5 1/2 seasons he hasn't yet. And while your basing your statements on Eichel on point totals solely it appears, I'm looking at the larger impact on the franchise overall in my opinions of the subject. Recency biased? If you mean Eichel's complete time on the roster, which is the most recent 5 year franchise stretch, then ya, of course. By your very standard, we shouldn't consider Eichel at all, to avoid, you know, "Recency Bias". (SMH)
-
I'm not the least bit interested if Eichel is a top 10 center in the league to be fair. And I haven't stated Eichel is the or even an issue with the team. Like I said, it's not an anti-Eichel thing here. He's expendable, if it moves the franchise closer to cup contention, imho.
-
You'll get no disagreement from me here.
-
Incorrect. It's based solely on an actual lifetime of watching the club. I disagree with your disagreement.
