This team is consistent at one thing. Inconsistency. Frustrating to no end. I thought they outplayed the Blues overall, but stretches of this game including the first 10 minutes was just head scratching. Have the kids ready to ***** play at puck drop. Donny, what are you telling the team during the time out? Did you not expect push back? And what’s up with the three quarter zip sweaters? Every game? Are you on blood thinners? Mix in a v-neck, would ya? I think we have Nana’s shawl if you’re chilly on the bench. -

You have been banging the drum for a long time. Glad you got the scoop.

Here are your 8 in sequential TB - with Jonas Islanders - below average tea, not Sorokin Senators - Nice offensive outbreak but almost gave up a 4 goal lead in the last 2 minutes Avs - Solid win (Avs long road trip with B2B) Maple Leafs in Toronto - good road win Wild - Poor team with back up netminder Black Hawks - nuff said Penguins - Nice comeback but played only one good period. Rangers are -235 at home on the money line. Give up the 1.5 goals and take the Blue shirts +107

Probably not. I agree with your overall sentiment/assessment, he must go. His time in Buffalo is eerily similar to Tony Dungy in Tampa who developed a team that was 7-9 under Wyche in ‘95 and built them up to 11-5 in ‘99 but showed regression in 2001. A new voice in the room lifted them to Super Bowl champions one year later after going 9-7 the year prior (Dungys last). Tony eventually wins one, but the circumstances are different in Indy. What is the stat about QB/Coach combinations? If they don’t win one by their 4th year together, they never will. The air is stale. Josh is the only “beast” in Buffalo sports, and his window isn’t even close to closing. They need to do something different at Head Coach. My only concern is the dynamic of GM/HC in the org. These two are super tight.

Krebs wasn’t even the best player on his line. Kyle had a good game (finally) followed by Gus and then Peyton. As evidenced by his time with players other than Z and KO (Natural Stat Trick) below. And when you look at the replay of Kyle’s goal, Krebs stick is not even on the ice when the puck is deflected by Karlsson. Meaning he didn’t even have the awareness to get in a position to attempt a high danger chance. Tuch was by far the best player, followed by Skinner and then EJ. Honorable mentions to UPL, Cozens and Kyle.

While statistically the “letdown” game is a myth, next weeks matchup against Philly is letdown personified. Super Bowl rematch, on the road, with a second half comeback win twist. Add to it a shortened week for the Eagles, and a Buffalo team that desperately needs to stack wins. To me this game is so much more important than KC. Philly can afford a loss and Buffalo cannot. A win next week followed by a bye week can give them the proper mindset going into KC. A loss just hangs over their head during the bye knowing KC is a must win.
