  1. I started to really unhealthily focus on fomites today and realized that saturating the keyboard, mouse, phone, countertop, desk etc at work with OCD level of disinfectant wipes isn't going to protect me from the virus chilling on the chair arms. It's either time for a biohazard suit or something that can emit UV rays in a radius around my body. I might try that garlic belt first that I read about a few pages back... Anyhoo, stay safe at those grocery stores and avoid those aisles with wine bottles.
  2. You could have chimed in BEFORE I built this goddam catapult!
  3. Facial disguises have been working well for me. I think the cashiers realize I'm the same person but are giving me credit for going to such a great length for a pack of toilet paper.
  4. I knew I wasn't bright but I didn't realize I had a negative IQ.
  5. We're gonna be wiping our ***** with them when the napkins run out. ?
  6. That has been the speculation by some early on. The fact that it seems to have started in close proximity to a virology lab in the Wuhan area. My interest was piqued when I read that the genome sequencing of it was identified in "less than two weeks" by Chinese officials when it allegedly takes six months to a year. They attributed the rapid identification to a "probable advancement in technology". Really? Like all of a sudden? I don't work in the medical field and those that do on here could probably shut me down on this faster than a backup goalie against the Sabres' offense but that's what I read. I don't have the energy to find a link either but it is/was out there and I'm sure it can be located.
  7. Thanks and thanks for your insight on this subject. Thanks to everyone who has provided pertinent information regarding this matter.
  8. Looking for advice from engineers on here on how to construct a low budget moat. Gators optional. Everyone's been whipped into a frenzy in such a short amount of time. I think the realization of inconvenience is setting in for a lot of people. The fact that people are emptying shelves at stores is just making matters worse by congregating in close proximity in these areas. I'm not saying don't be overly cautious but the hysteria is not helping. It's a domino effect. If I bought all the plastic utensils from the local stores would people obsess about finding them if they passed by an empty shelf where they used to be? "Margaret, I don't know why but they're sold out of plastic utensils at Walmart!!!" "Well you need to find them Dave! Go to Tops and Wegmans! Don't come home without those ***** utensils!"
  9. This. There is a chance at my job location of coming in contact with airborne pathogens. We have N95 masks available everywhere and we're fitted for size.
  10. Bleach?! I got toilet paper to barter for some...
  11. Keep taking your vitamins, your humor is personally appreciated.
  12. I think the quarantine is a fluid situation. If I'm not mistaken it depends on certain factors. Also, it may have changed but at one point it was an "agreement" of self quarantine.
  13. Maybe time for it's own thread again. If not feel free to delete it.
  14. They really should ditch that Corona moniker. I think it's making me drink more.
  15. I was picking up what you were putting down. I've grown tired of the obviousness of it as well. I'm guessing it being reiterated is for the select few that don't use brain cells on a regular basis so they're trying to condition those people like Pavlov's dogs.
  16. Well it is, but I didn't want to come off as condescending. I'm also aware that the majority of people on this board are intelligent but it doesn't hurt to reiterate.
  17. I would assume that people with autoimmune disorders would be at a greater risk of complications from this as well. Wash hands with soap often, make the least amount of contact as possible with doors/handles, reduce trips to public places if possible, avoid touching my face, avoid close proximity and contact with others in public. Wiping down work stations and phones at work. That's how I'm rolling for a while. Hopefully it works.
  18. I'm cruising middle of the road right now. I'm not locking my family in an underground bunker but I sure as hell ain't attending any large gatherings. I've been waiting for information on the details of "underlying health issues". To me that was too vague. The general consensus of diabetes and blood pressure being part of the mortality equation is concerning to me and should probably be for a lot of people. I'm certain this is going to make it's way everywhere and it's just a matter of being cautious and weathering the storm. The fact that the flu is still rampant and allergies are starting to kick in for some people complicates the situation. I think people need to familiarize themselves with the basics of viruses. The fact that I'm acquainted to people that think antibiotics will solve this leaves me speechless. Also, the fact that grocery stores are sold out of hand sanitizer but the stock of hand soap doesn't have a dent in it boggles my mind. Soap>hand sanitizer.
  19. You're gonna have to tap into your survival stock on the first day?! You might want to binge on a few of those staged survival shows before you put yourself in lockdown.
  20. Video of Logan Paul getting ktfo in the ring was a pleasant surprise.
  21. Or had a better back up
  22. Good game, entertaining
