  1. somehow i get the feeling the sabres will win less games next year vs this year, even though last year was a short season
  2. i dont think sam is some superstar, but they traded a 60 point guy for basically 2 people that might never make the nhl? just a salary dump?
  3. Now all we need is fod the Sabres to trade jack and we can wait another decade for them to win
  4. hope so considering i read an article that nearly all the cases happening currently are the unvaccinated.
  5. Day off of work and i get bothered half the day. Im telling my boss that im only marking it as a half day instead of a full. Happens too often
  6. After seeing how they picked, do you guys think they have a playoff bound team or at least the making of one after trades etc
  7. i started it about 50 minutes late, and i already caught up
  8. i have a co-worker who's brother is really sick from covid, yet she continues to argue why she wont get it. i will never understand anti-vax. i guess as long as people dont have personal responsibility they will continue. Long gone are the days of what's best for everyone. now its just me, me, me
  9. I cant believe the wild are exposing Kähkönen I think he has the potential to be a top tender in the league in a couple of years. They protected Talbot, who will be 96 years old next year. I was joking when I said I was going to follow Seattle, but this is a huge opportunity for them. I just wanted to call myself a krackhead
  10. Im not sure how many people went to the covid wedding but they still had it, even though the bride tested positive They setup a zoom for the people that didn't want to go in person and catch covid. It people like this that causes us to stay in the pandemic
  11. Can the kraken say no thank you to a team?
  12. I think i might become a kraken fan and give up once and for all. I wouldn't likely ever get to the krackhouse, but maybe i can be a nj krackhead
  13. realistically i dont think anyone would publicly name them. to me though its crazy there is even a discussion of having the wedding. if i was the groom, i would run the other way and realize i dodged a bullet
  14. Probably not but there will be pills to cure it quickly and wont be as big of a deal
  15. all i can say is wow. i mentioned in a prior post that my sister in law was supposed to go to a wedding for her trash boyfriends sister. however, the bride caught covid. today's message from my sister in law is that they are now trying to figure out how to have the wedding anyway, even though the bride has tested positive with 2 different tests. they said they are going to try to do a wedding where everyone wears masks and social distance. the mother of the bride refuses to get tested because she doesnt want to find out if she has covid because it could mean a 3rd person in the wedding party will test positive. the maid of honor, who also tested positive said she wont be involved in it if they decide to have it. i dont know if the wedding is on at this point, but this is one of those situations that you the board of health should be called and the bride be publicly named for testing positive and still trying to have a party. i dont know any names of the people involved other than the trash boyfriend's first name. however, everything about him is trash, through and through
  16. meh, covid enough, besides its friday
  17. my sister in law and her trash boyfriend were supposed to go to a wedding. they had a rehearsal party last week and now the bride and the maid of honor have covid. my sister in law and the trash boyfriend got tested for covid since they were with them, but my sister in law tested negative. she is vaccinated. i dont know about the trash boyfriend. my wife just saw her sister 2 days ago. again her sister tested negative, but now my wife is goign to get tested. im sure she will be negative. this trash boyfriend has been a problem since she met him, although technically this is not his fault, but if she wasnt with his sorry ass, then she wouldnt have had to go to this wedding. anyway, he is a real loser.
  18. for the life of me, i dont understand the hesitation. who wants to live like we have the past year. i just dont get it. i keep hearing long term side effects, but you read that if you get a bad case of covid, excluding death, there are long term issues with that as well. why risk it.
  19. nj numbers are slightly higher than the have been. there is over 300 cases yesterday, which is still low, but considering at the beginning of the month we had a day where it was 95. however, none of the information i could find specifies how many of the cases or % of the cases are from people who have the vaccine vs not vaccinated. for example, if the 300 cases has 280 non vaccinated, and only 20 that were vaccinated, then it is still a comfort about the vaccine is working as expected. i know they are giving numbers as facts, but they arent completely relevant anymore without the vaccinated vs unvax numbers. you know the covid numbers are going to go hit the unvax people because for them nothing has really changed, we arent at a high enough percentage of vax for herd immunity. EDIT: i found an older report about 1 month ago that says its less than 1% of vaccinated people getting covid. its not the exact number i was looking for, but generally it gives the information that the vaccine is working better than expected https://www.nj.gov/health/news/2021/approved/20210609a.shtml#:~:text=The Department of Health has,Jersey's COVID-19 vaccination program.
  20. I had an interesting conversation with an old friend today. I mentioned to him that i think people who have witnessed first hand or in their area bad cases of covid might be more likely to get the vaccine For Example in nj, the entire state was slammed with cases for a very long time. As soon as i could get tye vaccine I got it. My sister, who lives in upstate ny didn't have lots of cases around her. She took forever to get it, and really only got it because of her job
  21. the wild giving up on suter and parise i think has a lot to do with the expansion draft. thats 2 players they dont have to protect
  22. i just read that minnesota bought out the contracts of suter and parise. i dont understand how that effects their cap. i read it on 3 different sites and still dont get it. is it basically they stay on their cap, but for much less money each year but spread out for longer?
