That active stick of his is special. It frustrates me so much how many NHL players don’t do it. Even if good players can dodge it, it keeps the pressure on and that adds up. Im sorry Skinner, put Benson with Tage and Thompson, he’s ready for 9 at a minimum. Will flourish if he can be paired with some size.

That was 100% offense. You don’t win games with a -3 turnover ratio. Gabe is predictable and easy to cover. Cook is playing flag football with his low effort out there. Josh was rattled from pressure from the best defense out there. He still had easy throws he didn’t make though. And bad turnovers. Kincaid looked really promising though. Defense was fine.

One plays 30 minutes a night. The others play 18 max.

Pairing Krebs with Oloffson is unfair to Krebs at this point in his career. And that’s coming from a Krebs skeptic

Power lacks killer instinct

He hit and miss on the Hall thing. But there was no long term damage to that at all, which can’t be said for other teams looking to add a vet like that. Any GM has a chance to make a good roster trading away Reinhart and Eichel at the start of their prime. I think he did okay on those deals. His Ristolainen deal was a cherry on top. I like his drafting strategy of hockey iq and attitude being the top priority, physical metrics coming second. Again time will tell. He turned Buffalo from the butt end of every joke in the league into an attractive destination players around the league see as an emerging threat. A lot to praise here. Even if Bylsma got some more points out of the team, nobody was scared of them once they matched up on Eichel. I think coaching is the biggest problem, assistants in particular. There has been some turnover, so still time to see how it shakes out. I can’t stand the goalie coach situation and he’s in denial there is a problem there. I hope Levi is good enough to not be phased by it. If Levi doesn’t work we have major issues. Toronto has been trying to get the goalie position right for over a decade now, it’s not like we’re the only team needing help there. I agree with him letting Ullmark pass because he wouldn’t lock him up to long term, Boston fans have already turned on him. Playoffs or bust this season tho.

Only thing I’m worried about are the scoring lines keeping pace later in the season when teams start to clamp down. One or two injuries and we couldn’t score a goal end of last season
