  1. Cozens is a solid 2C everyone had suppressed numbers this year They will look to UFA for a 3C. Ruff wants his veteran Gaustad. We have the cap to overpay for whoever this ends up being
  2. watching Coleman’s all targets he definitely dropped more than 2, a lot of bad passes his way but that was a bit generous. he didn’t really come successfully away with the jump balls like scouts sold. He did get held quite a bit though and was wide open with separation plenty. His successful hurdle was pretty. His unsuccessful one still was funny. I still think he has a chance to be a better Gabe, but he isn’t as sure hands as I’d hope. Still some pretty catches we haven’t really seen from our receivers the last handful of years though.
  3. They’re constrained by the cap. The way they’re doing it it’s just one bad year on the cap instead of continuing pushing the can down the road. It just is what it is. At least they plugged nearly all the holes in a draft.
  4. KC just won during a “reset”, it’s Abbott getting hot when it counts.
  5. I still think it’s coaching and execution that will make the difference. The coaching is evolving on offense and we can’t really do worse on injuries. The new guys have a reputation of being smart players that are clutch, not athletic tools you have to teach the game to and hope they pick up the instinct (ignoring the international guy) a receiver might break free come trade deadline from some team that isn’t hacking it
  6. Beyond a bonafide stud receiver what is the team missing? This draft plugged a bunch of holes everywhere that would’ve added up in cap if we tried to do it with aging vets and I still don’t think a stud receiver is absolutely necessary with Josh. He’s always spread out the touches and we’ve replaced a bunch of guys over the last few years who didn’t have a reputation for actually catching the ball with guys who do
  7. Every pick fills a hole. Rookies for cheap to fill it out. At least it’s all guys with great character and not some athletic freak with character issue gambles like other teams will make
  8. Another hole filled with a second rounder most say is ready to start right away. Glad we’re run well
  9. A receiver who played basketball at MSU earlier on is going to be that athlete our coaches love. Sound like a high floor pick even if the ceiling isn’t the moon
  10. Guy simply doesn’t drop the ball. All he has to do is fill in for Gabe’s routes, which Gabe never freaking won anyway and dropped the ball if it came his way. Fills the hole, about all you can ask for
  11. He wasn’t just 18yo. He was also an underweight under 6’ player. And he had more craft out there and didn’t let the physicality cause him to cower. A couple of years and he’s going to be a menace.
  12. Correct this for empty netters? lindy was always an early lead then hold the fort coach
  13. Power doesn’t have an active stick. That’ll change quick with Ruff
  14. Lindy: your system is set before the start of training camp and doesn’t really change throughout season. It’s all about developing muscle memory from day 1. breath of fresh air Christ
  15. Lindy Ruff is the guy who made this happen. Our team full of Nordic kids are in for trouble https://sports.yahoo.com/news/ville-leino-depicts-third-season-sabres-jail-clothing-design-185834130.html
  16. The devils are paying for the next two years unless he signed for a higher dollar amount. So it’s his way to bridge the leftover Granato contract and be cheap too
  17. I heard a Billionaire fan who cares but doesn’t want to give up control being happy to be able to make amends to the guy he had fired in the first place before everything went to ***** for a decade. KA is a yes man he is never going to do that. He only has the job because he has no issue being a lap dog to Terry
  18. Power is definitely going to be an interesting case with Lindy. I don’t think he’s been worked that hard before.
  19. Craig Rivet basically made the same argument. Lindy is the only guy out there who realistically can get KA to do his job correctly and not just fantasize the owner
  20. We don’t have any of those players unless we change a lot in FA. Should be a lot of active and aggressive stick play
  21. Lindy is about coaching to players strengths and finding their own role. Not shoving square pegs into round holes. He said as much himself today and his history in Buffalo coaching has plenty of examples Skinner usually had issues playing into a system. He has a chance Oloffson is exactly the type of player that Ruff would get the most out of. Not saying we need him, but he wouldn’t be so invisible like he has been lately. Just because they cheat into him on the PP doesn’t mean everything should fall apart.
  22. Don’t see us getting into a Taylor Hall situation with Lindy Ruff
  23. Objectively just means it meets a list of criteria. Outcome is irrelevant
  24. Still posting over and over so everyone knows you aren’t happy?
