I think Krueger is a pretty positive guy. With that said, it's usually not a good thing if the coach needs to have a talk with you.

Thank you. Now, it's an understandable debate to ask whether JBotts should have stood up to ownership. My inside source says that, around the league front offices, word is that JBotts is in "self-preservation mode" and doesn't have the guts to stand up to ownership, who are too involved. I hope that's more perception than truth, for our sake.

In many cases (including the Humboldt Parkway excavation for the 33), the highways cut off and isolate (read: segregate) neighborhoods. When the Humboldt Parkway was in existence, it had many black-owned businesses that were frequented by traffic coming into the city. The 33 destroyed that. It's basically a way for suburban folk to avoid having to mingle with urban folk.

Remember, JBotts has already been involved in the purging of Matt Moulson from the system, who had more cachet than Sobotka, and probably (?) wasn't any worse. I'm an optimist, so I firmly believe his hiring of Krueger was contingent on Krueger being willing to get rid of under-performing vets. (If not, they should both be fired immediately ? )

I don't think it's about them. I think (hope?) everyone in that lineup is in danger of being sent down/traded, unless they show they are better than our AHLer's

I've been saying (or thinking?) this for a while, but... We're due for an unexpected hit like this.

Dismissing the idea of Reinhart at center is the lack of creative thinking that, I'm hoping, is not embodied in our new HC. Erod does not belong at 2C. We have other options who are actually strong on the puck (not talking skating fast in circles playing keep-away) and actually have an NHL shot.

This is exactly what happened to the Humboldt Parkway in Buffalo to make way for the 33. Tragic.

Getting back to the topic of the thread... Marcus Johansson Sam Reinhart If these are backup plans for no 2C trade, I'm very curious to how they could work. Was it Krueger or Botts (or both) who mentioned giving Samson another go at center? Remember, Samson has not played center since before his 2018 "coming of age"

I think Cozens should play this year in junior. Very curious to see him play 8 games here, though.

I don't disagree at all. I guess what I'm getting at is I have more faith in Cozens's future than Casey's, which may have been said before.

Just a hypothetical- would Cozens at 2C this year make any less sense than Casey at 2C last year?
