If TT goes down who comes up to replace him? Maybe they are waiting to see if someone from ROCH is going to get a chance for real playing time with the big club. If that happens then someone like Larson/Girgs/E-Rod sits in the press box along with Elie. I would give this a little more time. One thing I do like is the lack of movement with both clubs. It's building stability which has been lacking thru these bad years.

E-Rod's success will also inspire the younger players in the system to continue to work hard to achieve a chance at their dream.

Risto has been leading the D in ES/PP/PK TOI for years now. I know they had to do it because of lack of talent and him "seemingly" able to eat the minutes. Earlier this year I wondered if HCPH should cut back evenly to get him around 23. I'm now rethinking that. Does todays (and tomorrows) Sabres need Risto leading the D in all 3 phases? Does anyone think that the team would benefit and his game would improve if he specialized more at either PK or PP? Of course I agree with Flagg about his ES being pared a little.

Good question but I'd like to add that he is only 18. He still is maturing and is known to work hard to improve, I would only imagine he will get faster.

I said the same thing in the GDT as you bolded. As to what needs to be done to change this................I don't know. Maybe give him one more chance at 2C? Okposo and him have been moved around the middle 2 lines and nothing has took root. It seems to me that somehow a 2nd line has to be found that can score and put the rest of the "can't do it" guys on a 3rd line with limited minutes. At least the 4th line puts on pressure even though they can't score (yet).
