  1. He sure can. If they lose tonight, I’d hope he’s in the lineup for game 1.
  2. Pretty much every hotel in the region is booked. They’re expecting 225,000 people this week.
  3. He’s hurt. Had he been healthy, definitely could have gotten into a game. Nadeau is possible for the upcoming series.
  4. All you have to do is pull up highlights from that night and you can clearly hear Freeze Frame.
  5. They certainly did not. Freeze frame is the goal song for the first two periods. Juke box hero is the third.
  6. Syracuse owner is notorious for only ever scheduling weekend games. The Crunch basically have the run of the building and they almost never play weekday games.
  7. He was probably all week, and Appert said last night after the game that he was close. I’m sorry, but you gotta play.
  8. Absolutely. They are a very soft team. No physicality at all. They get by on skill, but there’s far less time and space in the playoffs, and it sure showed tonight.
  9. Yeah I hope so. But I’m going to take the coach at his word. He said over and over that he expected Kulich to play. What happened? Since they provide so little in terms of injury updates, you’re going to get speculation.
  10. Sorry, but I’ll choose to have whatever opinion I want. He skated this week, and was labeled probable all week. You want to say the coach was lying about it, maybe, but you play through pain and injuries in the playoffs. I clearly said he should only play if it’s something that can’t be re-injured or made worse.
  11. They simply weren’t prepared for playoff hockey. No physical game at all. Just a dull, lifeless game. They need Kulich to play. I’m sorry, but as long as it’s not something that can be made worse, and it’s just dealing with pain, he needs to play.
  12. Apparently no Kulich tonight, despite Appert saying repeatedly all week that he was probable. Very disappointing. I would hope you play through a bit of pain at this point in the year.
  13. I’m skeptical about the Amerks winning this series, but if Subban plays really well, I can see it. Syracuse is a tough matchup. Groulx is a good coach, they play a structurally sound game, and Barre-Boulet is arguably the best offensive player in the league. Kulich and Rosen will probably struggle with how physical and tight the games are. Even Quinn struggled with it last year. Amerks are without Biro this weekend, too, and that’s just too big of a loss. I think ultimately the Amerks chaotic style of play will unravel them against Syracuse over a 5 game series. The wildcard is potential TB injuries. But I have Syracuse in 4.
  14. He didn’t finish the game yesterday. Got hit with a puck in the skate I believe. Appert speculated he could be out weeks. Rumor is he got on the bus for todays game, but I doubt he plays.
  15. Kulich is probably out a couple weeks. Biro out. Kozak out. Warren out. They’re shot. Looked tired and slow this weekend. Anything can happen once the playoffs start, but likely a quick exit this season.
  16. If the holdup is the ATO and Rochester, I certainly see that as a red flag as a player. You want players who want to compete and play. Does he want to be done for the year? Who wouldn’t want to go play pro hockey and make a potential playoff run? To me, that would be an issue as far as his general attitude.
  17. Correct. Neither Clague nor Levi can go down. Johnson only if he signs an ATO.
  18. Quinn and Peterka were some of the most dominant players of their age group in the AHL in a long time. There was no reason to keep them in Rochester. They both could’ve gone up sooner last season. They brought Kisakov, Rosen and Kulich into the AHL sooner than teams have typically have done. They could have easily had Kozak go back to the WHL. And it sounds like they want Novikov, Östlund, and Neuchev in Rochester next year. And you can be sure, if he was eligible, Savoie would’ve been there this year. It’s very obvious they value the AHL as the best place to put their prospects. And why not? It’s the best, and closet in style league to the NHL in the world. They have a hand picked coaching staff. It’s right down the road. There’s no better place for their prospects unless rules or contracts prevent it.
  19. This is funny because it’s the exact opposite approach of the Sabres. They get their elite prospects in the AHL as soon as possible, and overcook them, if anything.
  20. Comrie has been recalled according to the AHL transaction page. I assume another move will need to be made soon.
  21. I was vocal that I thought they would send UPL down, but they probably can’t unless he really plays awful the next couple games. They’re not going to fake an injury to Anderson, nor send a defensemen down. The options come down to waiving Comrie or Hinostroza. I very much doubt the former, so I think they waive Hinostroza, even though they likely don’t want to.
  22. I definitely don’t think they want to send UPL down. I agree with everyone who says he earned a spot. But sometimes roster management makes hard decisions for you. Guess we’ll find out soon enough. UPL has to continue to play well. If he had a bad game or two, makes the decision easy when Comrie goes up.
  23. The only fact we know is KA saying over and over that UPL needs to play a lot this season wherever he is. A 3 goalie rotation probably isn’t going to be the best for that.
