Grade A (Missing on Jones only negative) Beane's drafting 2018 - Allen (Star), Edmunds (star), Phillips (depth), Taron Johnson (starter), Neal (key depth), Teller (Browns starter), McCloud (Pitt return specialist) and Proehl - Only Proehl never played in the NFL. 2 All-Pros and 3 key depth. Only real mistake was losing Teller. Grade A++ 2019 - Oliver (starter), Ford (benched), Singletary (part time starter), Knox (becoming a star), Joseph, J Johnson (depth), D Johnson (Carolina depth), Sweeney (depth). - All but Joseph in the NFL. 6 current Bills with Oliver and Knox having the most impact. Grade B+ (Ford drops grade and Singletary also looks like he is losing his job) 2020 - Epenesa (Key Depth), Moss (Starter), Davis (Key Depth), Fromm (practice squad QB), Bass (Star kicker), Hodgins (practice squad), D Jackson (depth). Whole draft part of the organization. Grade B+ but could become an A as Moss and Epenesa improve their status. Moss looks primed to be the No. 1 running back. Bass was worth the pick. 2021 - Rousseau (starter), Basham (depth), Brown (starter), Doyle (depth), Stevenson (IR), Hamlin (depth), Wildgoose (PS), Anderson (lost to Philly). Rousseau looks like a stud, Brown has been awesome since becoming a starter. Grade A Honestly, the only guy who Beane "missed" on are Ford. Ford still has a chance to become a good player. This is really impressive. 9 starters (3 pro-bowl caliber players, plus 6 key depth players. 31 picks overall with 24 NFL players plus 1 IR and 4 PS players. Only 5th round Vosean Joseph and 7th round Austin Proehl not in the NFL. Wow.

Next week equal new challenge; how to stop Derrick Henry. This will be a huge challenge with Milano out and Fraziers' D setup with only two linebackers. Tenn will try to control the clock with the running game to limit Buffalo's possessions and to wear out the defense. The bad news for Tenn is the Buffalo rotates fresh troops along the DLine like a college team. Should make for a very interesting matchup ahead of the bye week.

it felt close because Collinsworth was rooting so hard for Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. We had perfect gameplans on both sides of the Ball. Best fact during the broadcast was the rotation of 9 DL by the Bills. Also Edmunds is the lynch pin of this D and was awesome tonight.

Guys possibly on the bubble (4): Hayden, Eakin, Cozens, and JJP. I'd like them to keep everyone but Eakin.

What do you expect for a Gator?

Last year was not a purposeful tank. They signed Hall and Eakin and traded for Staal to improve the offense. This is a purposeful tank. How else do you describe spending to the cap floor, bring in only 750K FAs including two goalies one who had a Gaa over 4 and one set to retire, plus the trade of two high paid vets including one who was a No 1 center for mostly futures, plus the acquisition of a D who can't play D. This is the definition of a purposeful tank.

I've been saying that for months and have been roundly criticized for it. People here seem to think that converting Quinn and Thompson solves the problem. Maybe we should draft some centers and see what happens instead.

This was my rating before camp began. So who impressed and who didn't I thought R2, JJP, Murray and Weissbach impressed. I think Cozens needs more work. Is JJP now the no 2. prospect behind Power? I think Bryson somewhat disappointed as well. UPL also had a rough camp. Quinn looked ok with the upside coming. In juniors it looks like Poltapov, Kisakov, and Novikov are of to hot starts. Top 10 - Power, JJP, Cozens, R2, Quinn, Poltapov, Samuelsson, Rosen, Johnson, Kisakov Next 10- Levi, Portillo, UPL, Weissbach, Bryson, Laaksonen, Murray, Nadeau, Marjala, Novikov Others - Rousek, Huglen, Sardarian, Bloom, Biro, Kukkonen

Actually Monday is the next inflection point in this drama. Do the Sabres put him on IR or suspend him?

I think you are reading something into my comments that isn't there. I don't want KA to fail. I hate seeing the team I love fail. I just expect failure and he has delivered nothing but failure just like every other manager hired under the Pegula era.

I think people are used to the Pegula Sabres as failures and don't expect anything else until they prove things are different.

I don't think that is correct. I think most here have come to expect failure from our management team. Also most here understand that Jack is damaged goods plain and simple. Regardless of which surgery he has, even if he comes back and is still an elite player, the risk of re-injury is significant. There is also a high risk of getting a diminished player even if he returns. All these facts reduce his trade value, especially if it comes with a $10 mill price tag for 5 more seasons.

This management team is already in the crosshairs for their complete failure last season and the tank they are authoring for this season. Getting an ROR level return is expected at this point.

I didn't say they were good pairings. I just said that the paper thinks the pairings are settled. I think Miller is one of the worst in zone D I have even seen. I disliked the deal when Jbot acquired him just like I dislike the deal acquiring Butcher now. Hard to win games when you can't get the puck out of the zone. Having both Butcher and Miller in the lineup is a disaster imho.
