  1. Who, what, where and when? Do you see any of those things in this report? A real reporter would have teams, pieces being offered and under what conditions. Without this type of info it’s just click bait and/or BS.
  2. He probably is getting sent down soon, but he is showing better with each appearance.
  3. Sorry. Also Pitt turned up the heat. Look at the shot differential in the 2nd and 3rd. It's not all on Dell, but he wasn't very good either.
  4. And now you know why I didn’t understand the Butcher trade.
  5. We aren’t looking for an all-star. We are looking for a legit NHL goalie to bridge this season. Those guys can be found on waivers. When Ben Bishop is waived would you say no?
  6. Curtis Mcilleaney (sp) and Anthony Stalock off the top of my head are two recent waiver claims who came in and paid immediate dividends.
  7. Funny, but not accurate.
  8. Didn’t Anderson play well so far?
  9. Murray is showing Tage how to play NHL hockey
  10. Maybe they convince Dallas to trade us Bishop and a 5th
  11. It’s not like it was an obvious terrible plan or anything.
  12. Probably not. Likely wants to see Eakin with guys who will likely make the team.
  13. We have an Eakin sighting. 4th line C in preseason. Good sign or bad omen?
  14. UPL already sent down. Dell was Swiss cheese. He needs to go.
  15. Hutchinson on waivers from Tor. He is definitely a step up from Dell or Tokarski. Go get him tiger.
  16. is it me, but does his name sound like some Oxford educated Mi6 operative from a bad spy novel.
  17. If we could put Murray's heart in Tage's body and skill level we'd really have something. Until Tage learns to use his body size to his advantage he's a JAG at the NHL level.
  18. I respect that and I hope I'm wrong. Seeing this team this way breaks my heart. Seeing KA claim another JAG and not try to improve the goaltending is heart breaking as well. When I look at Bjork, Caggiula, Hagg and Butcher, I see guys that their former teams, all better team then we were, wanted gone. That doesn't mean there isn't a little something in these guys. They are NHL players after all, but to expect them to go from castoff to stardom is highly unlikely. What we have to hope for is that the whole is greater then the sum of the parts. I have hope long-term, but I'm also trying to be realistic for this season.
  19. I expect people to at least get his first name correct. His name is Axel not Alex.
  20. Add Spencer Martin and Phoenix Copley to the list. I don't either is a step up from Tokarski.
  21. I remember when I used to think the JAG meant the Judge Advocate General's office. Now it's nearly an entire hockey team of Just Another Guys. The latest claim of Axel Foley (or whatever his name is) is just another log on the JAG fire. Anderson, Dell, Pysyk, Hagg, Hayden, Girgensons, Eakin, Fjallby, MacInnis (sent down), Caggiula, Bjork, Hinostroza, KO (now), Miller, and probably Thompson, Asplund and Butcher are JAGs or worse. Skinner is also trending that way. That's approx 16/17 guys of a 22 man roster. The only guys who really move the needle are Dahlin, Jokiharju (potentially), Mitts, VO, R2 (who I really like) and Cozens (potentially). What a sorry state of affairs for our beloved franchise. I've been a Sabres fan since day 1. My first game was the Sabres 1st game. I don't think I've been this down on the club. Honestly this maybe the worst non-expansion NHL team in history.
  22. I was going to start this thread, but then thought better of it. LOL! I do think he has more to give offensively then Hayden but what does that get us. Welcome to the JAG corp.
  23. Geez I'm shocked. Who would have thought that Buffalo fans would be smart enough to re-allocate their entertainment $ from the sorry Sabres to the successful Bills.
  24. UPL sent down. .....and there was much rejoicing. I believe in this kid. He just isn't ready and I'd rather him backstop a decent to good team in Rochester then get slaughtered in Buffalo. I believe he can make the jump in his development this season to good AHL starter and then maybe ready late in the year to see some NHL action. Good on KA for making the right decision. I like Weissbach also and think he is very much in the mold of R2 but more of a playmaker then scorer. I expect him to have a very good AHL season and get injury callups throughout the year. Tony Granato said he made a huge jump last year at Wisconsin, lets see if he continues that growth here.
