  1. I might be the biggest Rosen/Östlund critic here. Hopefully they keep on making me look bad.
  2. Has anyone else seen this? https://www.wgrz.com/article/life/food/best-pizza-cities-american-wny-buffalo-us/71-05139e3d-aaa1-40cc-b620-2ef18f7c53fe
  3. Lafferty. Never, ever leave out Lafferty.
  4. It's different. If UPL isn't expected to make saves because his D left him out to dry he's not penalized in the Goals Saved Above Expected stat (on average). In the dropped pass example the QB is penalized.
  5. They're both bad, but UPL's metrics are worse than the defense's. The defense is marginally better than UPL in high danger shots against and somewhat better in medium danger shots against. Both need to be better, but UPL needs to be betterer. 😁
  6. Amongst goalies that have played 30+ games (i.e. starting goalies) UPL is 30 out of 34 in goals saved above expected. This team has a lot of holes to fix, but UPL's play might be the biggest all, especially when you factor the psychological effects weak goals have on a team.
  7. If Power could learn how to actually play D like Dahlin did we could solidify our 2nd pair. Then, if we somehow get half-decent goaltending (Levi?), we'd be could be knocking on the door of being decent. Checking the advanced stats, our goaltending has given us about 16 less saves vs league median. Then if we could spend to the cap and get one or two more Zuckers... But unfortunately none of this will happen.
  8. I'm surprised at how uppity Sabrespace is on fast food!!! I can't fathom how someone goes 10 years without dropping into a McD's in a pinch... let alone macking some tasty Curly Fries while reading the latest gossip on the Peterka to the Rangers thread.
  9. Stoner in PA has the right attitude!!! I find store bought deli roast beef is way worse for the psychedelic sheen than Arby's though. https://www.americastestkitchen.com/articles/7705-what-causes-beef-rainbows
  10. A straight up Arby's sandwich with horsey sauce is where it's at. No need for fake "cheddar", bacon, onion bun, or anything else. I'll take two of those and skip the curly fries. Sadly the Jamocha shake was discontinued here in Canada. As far as I'm concerned, there was no better soft serve beverage to enjoy while ignoring 4 pages of inane speculation behind "An Interesting Tidbit from John Wawrow thread".
  11. Trying to read between the lines of every interview and report from the team is an exercise in futility. Kind of like a crazed fan trying to interpret Beatles lyrics. Unless you've got hard news, it's better to sit back, enjoy the games, and have some Arby's.
  12. Oh man... This team is looking real good as of late!!! Off season wise, all Adams has to is let our young talent get another year older, ship out some of our top scorers like Tuch and Peterka that don't play the game the right way, and plug in some speedy 4th liners that do. The tried and true formula!!! Can't wait for 25-26!!!!
  13. Listening on the radio. Could Lindy have told Muel to leave?
  14. That may or may not be true, but Zucker and his 44pts in 54 games elected to take a pay cut to stay on this high tax no palm tree team instead of testing the market. I'll take Adams at his word.
  15. His lack of certainty on the topic spoke to me that he's not part of the plan. Personally, I think he's the most overrated guy on the team (including Power), and his a total liability unless Dahlin is making him look good. Hopefully we can give him a cheap bridge deal and move him to a team who's still buying the hype and not looking at the actual on ice play.
  16. All in all I thought it was a pretty good press conference. His comments about Cozens being really emotional about leaving and Zucker falling in love with the being a Buffalo Sabre tells me it's not all doom and gloom as most of us like to believe.
  17. All told, today was a good day. While there's a ton of work left to do, we are better now than we were. I get the frustration of 14 years... But if you and your dad picked today to abandon the team, you're doing it wrong.
  18. Joki is easily an effective top 6 D in this league... Top 4 IMO given he's a RHD. If a 4th is all we could get for him, we should have kept him... Especially since resigning Byram is such a bad idea.
  19. I agree, but there's a case to be made the senior guys are ahead of him (not that I agree with it). Given Benson is more senior than the rest of the bunch, someone needs to go.
  20. We have to get a lot better that this to make the playoffs. Also, if Benson can barely crack the 4th line, what do we do with the other 3 1st rounders in Rochester. We gotta deal some of these guys and upgrade our top 9.
