  1. I think you may be a year too far back. Pominville was drafted in 2001 and had 64pt in 66 games in his 3rd year after being drafted (03-04). To your point though, Pominville and Rosen were at about the same pace two years after being drafted. Pominville bumped in year 3 whereas Rosen didn't (or at least not as much). I agree with @SabreFinn that we should trade him (and should have done so already).
  2. Picture our 3rd line from way back when we were good. We need that or better if we're going to win a cup. Rosen, had a pedestrian 0.75ppg during his 20-21yo season in the AHL. It would take a MAJOR bump on his development curve to get to 05 to 07 era's 3rd line level.
  3. So as some of the only 1st rounders on the ice, they must look real good. 🫣
  4. Can someone give an honest report on how Rosen and Östlund are doing? Part of me is super hopeful that they're going to be bonafide contributors to us being perennial cup contenders... And another part of me... The much pettier part.. wants to hear how right I was that they sucked as picks.
  5. They're two different charts.
  6. This thread is pointless with its small sample size. Here's the stats from last year from our PK'ers with at least 100min of 4 on 5. Cozens is ok. Tuch is the best. As I said before, it's like saying Bourque sucks in overtime. Sample size is important.
  7. Game doesn't work for me even with a VPN saying I'm in Buffalo.
  8. This is all kind of like that Ray Bourque guy. He should never be on the ice in playoff OT...
  9. Any updates on Dahlin? Is the few day thing legit?
  10. Where do I sign? That said, I might be in the minority, but I still kind of like his personality after the whistle blows. He just sucks at calling the play on the radio.
  11. That's kind of where I end up. He did seem like a really nice guy in his public persona (at least until the anti-fan thing), but who among us really knows. Like anyone, I wish him the best... But no more than the guy who retires from the factory down the street.
  12. Did he end up staying in Buffalo or did he move back to Minnesota?
  13. This seems like one of those injuries he already had, possibly for doing something non-hockey related... But as a key piece of the team, it gets covered up as an on-ice injury.
  14. I'm too lazy to look it up, but my memory is this is at or below what all the other 1-way bottom of the roster forwards are making.
  15. Sounds good. Given the low level of competition, I'd have liked to see at least a PPG, even with bad luck. Small sample size though. Kulich in comparison had 6pts which seems more appropriate for the level of competition. If Östlund jumped off the page eye test wise that's at least some good news.
  16. Looking at the box scores, Östlund finished the Prospects Tournament with 0 points. As a 20yo taken 16th overall, you'd hope to see him somewhere in the Kulich / Rosen ballpark. I didn't watch a lot of the games, but when I did Kulich and to a lesser extent Rosen jumped off the page. What's the deal with Östlund?
  17. Rousek would need to be waived as well?
  18. I feel like all the groupthink and armchair GM's on here have anointed our 4th as being set in stone when as far as I know, the team has said nothing at all to that effect. These new guys are all making tweener salaries (between press box and playing). On a 23 man roster, any one of them can be alternated in and out of the lineup. As I said in another thread, Greenway can easily be dropped to the 4th line in favour of a legitimate scoring threat. And all that says nothing about the inevitable injuries we'll be sure to get. In short, between injuries and the team likely carrying 14 forwards... as long as Kulich comes in hot in training camp, he's on the team.
  19. Greenway could easily be moved down to the 4th line to make room for Kulich on the 3rd.
  20. What I meant was that the accounts of the game suggested they're weak on prospects.
  21. Didn't watch it, but based on the comments you really have to feel for the CBJ fans. Bottom of the standings, tragically losing their star winger, and a prospect group that got manhandled by the Sabres.
  22. Just going by memory, the first INT was off the receiver's shoulder and he should have caught it. Is that not right? The 3rd was a good pressure by the D, but how many times will a QB not make a throwaway all the way out of bounds while under pressure? Seems like we caught a break there.
