Get used to it around here, the Hyper Positive Pete's are happily ready to lecture you and gaslight you when you are not happy with their performance. This franchise has been lousy for most of its existence and is on a record run of futility and many of us older guys have endured this a lot longer than others.

If their strategy and effort resembles anything like the other night, they will get smoked again. Their response tonight is a very important measure of how far they have come.

I know what I saw from the Rangers defensive structure and I know we are nowhere close. This should be the priority this year in our evolution.

I’m with you. Your points are very valid. I still think we are a year away from being a playoff team. Not bringing in a vet goalie yet again is near suicidal.

A young team vs a vet team with a great system and is well coached was a bad match up from the get go. Maybe later in the year we’d have a chance but I never thought we’d win this game. I was just shocked it was a blow out and total domination. but it’s game one.

Same things that always happen year in and out. Pick any typical terrible game the past decade… this one had it all.

Too much hype how elite they are going to be this year.

So what we saw in preseason has carried over. And Granato has a lot of work to do.

If Milano joined Tre on IR you can say goodbye to any thought of a SB. Josh will have to score 30 and game and we still have a below average run game. Right when I was ready to give props to Dorsey he got worked.

And the Chiefs are more consistent. Miami has a cupcake schedule probably wins the division.

This team reminds me of the 2000’s Chargers. Elite in the regular season but always fell apart and never even got to the SB.

I’ve been watching this team since the days of Joe Ferguson and I’m starting to think this team might never win the SB. It’s one thing losing a clunker, but to lose key guys this early in the season is probably insurmountable. We just seem to have no luck, even with well constructed teams.

Might of aged perfectly well unfortunately. With these devastating injuries this early and their play today, last week may of been the high tide of the season. That back stretch is brutal.

The Don has a lot to fix before next Thursday.

Looks like they picked up where they left off. High scoring, fast, but the defense of a pee wee team with mediocre goaltending. Hopefully they get it right before NY comes in.

Not the preseason I was hoping for. Hopefully we show up next week when it counts or it could be just like last year.
