Tage not making team USA has worked out very nicely for us tonight. I kind of figured we’d see a pissed off Thompson tonight and that’s a good thing.

That’s how I’ve treated the last 3 seasons or so. Sabres losses have pretty much zero effect on me. They are just all too common the past 14 years. Bills losses hurt. Sabres losses are expected.

That’s the Sabres preferred way of playing offense against any opponent for years and years now. Lindy is trying to change that but he doesn’t have the players with that kind of intestinal makeup to play differently on a consistent basis.

Benson hasn’t been here long enough to be beaten down by the losing ways of the Sabres. Give it time.

Someone wake up Adams, it’s time to start shaking things up and make a big trade. The season can still be saved if he wanted to try.

I guess in the old days you’d call that a good point by coming back late to tie. Doesn’t feel so good today. Sabres let too many getable points just drift away.

Levi is also now going to lose a much needed developmental season that he could have had in Rochester by being the backup here and playing once every 4-5 games. Which continues to stunt his growth and confidence going forward.

Just before the season started, Marty Biron stated he thought the Sabres would be a top 10 defensive team and a top 10 goaltending core. I laughed then. Laughing even harder now at such a stupid prediction.
