There is NO part of the organization or team from top to bottom that is playoff caliber. Recent history and current play reinforces this.

I said they haven’t gotten to the level of making the playoffs. Which to do means they gotta consistently beat the middle third of the league. Not be in the middle third of the league 10 games in.

They need to be able to compete with the middle third of the league and actually make the playoffs. They can’t even get to that level, let alone worry about taking on the top tier teams.

Right. If the Sabres would actually learn from losses, they’d be the smartest team in the history of the league. They rarely learn.

They brought their full varsity team tonight. They had their JV team in a couple weeks ago when we beat them.

He will get exhausted at some point. Too many games to go to keep up that pace.

I’ve never seen a team so inept on both special teams as we’ve been the past couple seasons and coaching and players both completely helpless to do ANYTHING to improve their floundering. It’s beyond pathetic.

The lack of speed or quickness of Power, let alone his utter disregard for doing anything physical absolutely baffles me how NHL scouts had him as the best player coming out of college. I think so much of his ranking was based on him collecting points on one of the college powerhouse teams surrounded by lots of other talented players. Insane how disappointing he is so far.

Sadly I think we are going to have to wait until April. If they end up bringing in a new GM, he will want to pick his head coach.

Small market and high taxes have always been in Buffalo. No doubt the no trade lists hurt a lot of options for us. But you have to have a GM that can find a way to work around all that. The Sabres don’t currently have that GM. They needed an experienced league man that knows how to negotiate all this crap. Adams ain’t it.

This is true, although there was no “right” choice on this roster. Another Adams failure, not bringing in vets that know how to win.

The Sabres aren’t a real franchise. That much should be obvious to everyone by now. Even the die hard kool aid drinkers.

I’m sure we will find out relatively soon that Dahlin is dealing with a major injury and has been trying to fight through it. Especially since they named him captain he wanted to at least try to start the year. But it’s obvious he’s not effective playing this hurt. They will have no choice but to let him sit once a few more losses occur and they realize this just ain’t their year. Again.

The next GM of the Sabres is going to be so handcuffed by all of Adam’s disastrous contract decisions. Not going to make it a very appealing job.

Sad but true
