In this spot of the draft (first round) I would argue there is a decent value bump moving up 10 spots. Obviously you still have to choose the right player at that spot but I think the odds of hitting it are decently higher.
Plus it doesn’t cost the sabres anything except having to watch the stars in the conference finals.
You wonder if tippet is set on Seattle and just interviewed to see what buffalo is all about or if he truly is available. I wanted tippet when he was still coaching zona.
Maybe the discussion revolved around seeing if he has changed his mind about coaching Roch. Two straight first round sweeps can't leave Taylor feeling very secure.
Wow, wasn't his last game like a 60+ save performance? Sudburry lost something like 1-0 or 2-1 in double or triple OT and apparently he was brilliant the whole game. Makes it that much more impressive if he was playing through pain and did that.
No but this is one of our top prospects and hopeful answer to our goalie issues in a couple of years. It's a big deal him not being able to train all offseason. Does he even start as the #1 in Roch with little training? This could set his development back atleast half a season and thus that much further from being a Sabre.
Nope. Plus, as we know with Bogo, this is a 5-6 month recovery time. This was his last off season to train before he starts his professional career. I think Roch is counting on him as their #1 next year so this is....not good.
The only thing I really didn't want was an old retread coach. Not only that but he's like the 3rd or 4th retread option even available. At this point you hope a team overreacts and fires a good but Round 1 losing coach or you go with Keefe or Smith. Won't even be excited with Keefe or Smith until they actually turn it around but if they hire JM would be about the only way I would be disappointed.
