You too! Fireworks tonight!
-
Sadly I'm watching tsn, listening to wgr, checking this message board and fielding texts from some other hockey buds who arnt sabres fans.
-
True but no vanek or moulson as of now. Also, even with jt back they were bad last year with him. Could they end up in the teens? Sure because there is a lot of parity in this league and three point games make a huge difference but nothing they've done yet screams a drastic increase in standings. As of now I'm going to say 6th to 12th with just as good a shot at 6 than 12 IMO.

Based on halak? You've been preaching all offseason how the isles are going to do everything in their power to improve. Although it's still early literally all they've done to help them is sign a middle of the road goaltender. Boyle already gave them the ol f u and no real other signings as of yet.

2014 NHL Draft Poll: Favorite/Least favorite and grade
Derrico replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
So your off the Tim bandwagon because he did poorly based on your model that seems very flawed? I would have preferred barbi to Lemieux as well but I think you are one of the first to say he is not a top 50 player in this draft. Several even had him pegged as a first round pick. -
Christian Ehrhoff bought out; Signs with PIT, 1yr $4M

Oh I'm alright with this move for the points listed above. If there's any reason to tank it's this year and this move helps achieve the goal. Even hoping they leave risto down for atleast half the season so we can go with a Rudy pysyk second pairing. -

Those upset by the quality of our d next year I say this helps the tank. I know you can't put all faith in one young prospect but there are a couple potential franchise guys sitting at the top of the 2015 draft. This helps us get there after watching one more terrible season. Besides I like the attitude of Tim. If you don't want to be here then don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. -
I'm not ready to write this guy off. Tim's strength is in talent evaluation. I'll trust him until he gives us a reason not too. Button had him ranked 40th and I think iss had him like 25 for na skaters.

Love it

Loving this Lemieux interview.
-
Worried all day about van trading up to take him, so glad it played out this way.
-
This is true tank, I just mean if he's our numb 2 then we r legit cup hopefulls
-
Love this pick!!! We have our numb 2 centre and we get numb 1 next draft
-
HAHAHAHA yes!!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!! The tanking paid off

I'm also on the reinhart bandwagon but that interview with I think central scouting was very interesting. They said Bennett was ranked first on their list and sounded like it wasn't even really close. Interesting that they had him also ranked first on their midterm rankings and said it was a closer decision on the midterm ranking then what ended up as their final.
-
Agreed. It's not Zemgus point production that is having this fan base worked up.
-
Agreed. Very selfish attitude, takes a ton of dumb penalties. On ekblad, I'd take him at 2 if reinhart is gone at 1.
-
That just saved my bracket lol.
-
Upset brewing? Still the first half but Algeria up 1-0 over Belgium. I, like I'm sure many others though of Belgium as a great darkhorse to win this whole thing.

In my humble opinion I hope we keep all of our D and take a Sam at two and then trade 2 or all 3 of our seconds to move back up for another mid round first and take a forward. It takes D much longer to develop than F and by the sounds of things next draft should be absolute franchise changing. I want our D to be ready when we pick McDavid (or one/two of the other highly ranked forwards). This way I think we are atleast competitive come 2015/2016.
-
How'd he sound in the interview?

The Germans are coming!! The Germans are coming!!

What about if he's there at 31?
