:w00t: Now I see it.

We don't have a generic Jack Eichel thread so I'm not sure where to put this. Mods please move if you feel necessary. What a great read on what Jack Eichel is doing in terms of his possession numbers. "on pace for 56 points which would be 6th best over the past 20 years, in one of the lowest scoring seasons ever" "Eichel is average at passing in the neutral zone, slightly above passing out of defensive zone, but in terms of carrying the puck, he's a phenom" Compares Eichel to Taylor Hall http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/sabres-jack-eichel-is-a-puck-carrying-phenom/ I've been a bit disappointed in terms of where Eich is in terms of points. But you read articles like this and you realize just how good this kid is right now and what is hopefully in store for our future.

You've got no shot at this bet my friend. See how well Lehner is playing? Sabres are finally healthy again and Jack has been supermodel hot over the past month. Only chance you have for the bottom 5 is the lottery :P
-
A win tonight and the Sabres could be out of the bottom 5 in the league.
-
Wait, I'm playing you in Fantasy Hockey and I have Eichel
-
Really? He's played 44 of the teams 47 games. If he was hurt then I will dismiss it but it couldn't have been anything too significant.
-
Hopefully. I'm still pretty concerned as to why he was cut from one of the worst Canadian WJC teams in recent memory though.

Their HF board. Here's a link to their GDT http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=2023029 I mean, they even want to steal our Fire Sale montage from a couple of years ago!!
-
That sounds right.
-
He tops the list. Really shows how much an all-world goalie has hid the serious flaws and lack of talent on that team.
-
Gorges is the only thing where we would get anything resembling value in return. Weber and Franson, although nice to have for depth on a good team, will result in a Mitchell type of return.
-
On a side note. I sometimes read the oppositions message boards on game days to get a feel of what their fans think. Well I've never seen so many pictures of tanks in a GDT before. I mean it put our tank threads to shame. If the fan base from one of the original 6 and overall a very proud fan base is all onboard with cheering for a tank then I don't feel bad about what went on here the last two years. Not bringing up if cheering for the tank was acceptable or not but it's surprising the support Montreal fans seem to be giving it with most hoping and some 'praying' they lose. Some calling this a big 4 point game..... Ummmm guys, it's a year to late since the rules have changed.

Perfect. Sink or swim. We gave up a first and Murray spoke at the time like he's our future #1. Johnson is a UFA. I don't really care about results as we're not a playoff team so lets atleast give him 70% to 75% of remaining games.

This. -
The way Montreal is playing I'll be shocked if we don't score atleast 4. I'm thinking more likely 5 or 6. Eich with his first hatty?

No thanks. Don't want him anywhere near this team. -
Ok I laughed out loud.
-
Nice having Reinhart back. Can't wait for tomorrow night, feels like it's been much longer than a week off.
-
I immediately thought concussion on the Reintharttttt play.
-
I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see Fasching up here. If we lose McGinn it will hurt a bit. Johnson being gone shouldn't be a huge issue based on the play of the two Swedes. Weber has played much better the past few weeks but losing him is not going to negatively impact the team in any significant way.
-
Maybe I'm unnecessarily down on Schultz but he's never really impressed me. I would not want to part with any of our young D for him.
-
A RHD who is subpar in his own end? No thanks. If he's someone the Oilers want to move on from (considering their D-core) then it's not someone I'm interested in.
-
Presumably it's a gain. I get that McDavid is obviously an unreal player but he's also not played hockey for the past 3 months. May take 5 or so games (17% of remaining schedule) to get back into it.
-
I'll agree with your rankings. My first thought was why is McLeod in the discussion but I agree if the talent is close you take position of need. Although I still think any C can move to wing much easier than visa versa. Don't count out Montreal from the bottom 5. They are 8 ahead of Buffalo but have been in absolute free fall mode. When is Price expected back?
-
I just don't see it happening. But I guess that's why we each agreed to the bet haha.
