While I won’t deny the benefits you lay out, I would just counter that the live entertainment and atmosphere when the team is consistently winning (ofcourse I realize it’s been awhile) is unmatched. High fiving random strangers who care about the team like you, feeling the gasp of 18,000 people in a close play is one of those unique experiences in life. I can certainly appreciate those that want to fire up twenty views of a play on their big screen but can also appreciate the buzz and excitement that comes from watching live professional sports.

Then don't be a downer. Hopefully Sabres end up with 100+ points and it doesn't matter who gets the odd loser point throughout the year. If the Sabres can take care of their own business that's all that matters.

I can't believe the Mitts we've seen from last February/March until now. It's been a revelation. Not sure what his next contract looks like but I hope we can find a way to keep him at a reasonable price.

It would be ridiculous sending him down if he’s near a point a game still by then. But just or more importantly is he seems to be playing a strong defensive game and is very strong positionally. Unless he goes through a big slump or gets hurt it seems hard to imagine he’s going back down. He’s done everything asked of him and has looked impressive doing it.

I go to as many as I can. Committing 41 nights to anything in life is difficult but get to as many as possible.

Agreed. Our seats are in 300s but it’s front row. Preseason tickets sold quickly. Would have thought for season ticket price (now even less) they would have went quick. Still time I suppose…..

Looking at ticketmaster its nowhere near looking like a sellout.

I have my tickets listed for Tuesday and Thursday at a $10 loss from my season ticket price (more when you consider the fees Ticketmaster charges). Price is $40 cheaper then the unsold Sabres tickets beside us and they still haven’t sold. I guess this is what it’s like being a Sabres season ticket holder especially early in the season 🤡

I’m not sure I’m ready to proclaim Power’s ceiling at this point in the game. I’m with you that it’s very likely Dahlin always stays a level ahead of Power but he was darn good last year and excited to see where his game can go. Those transition passes were a thing of beauty (obviously Dahlin is a master at those long stretch passes also). Glad we have both.

Probably discussion for another thread but I just looked up Auston Matthews extension and it’s 4 years at $13.25 mil per season. Not the same position so tough to compare but I’m very happy with the contract.

It’s still very surprising the only adds on D were Clifton and old man johnson. Nobody else brought in to pair with Levi. Seems like this team is just ready to take off with one or two big moves. Frustrating either the Sabres don’t see it or cost of acquisition was too high. Let’s see how it goes. If it goes poorly how long will KA take to adjust his plan?
