  1. I’m slowly coming around to Adams. I believe his latest media appearance to be sincere. I think he has a plan, knows what he is doing, and is determined. If so, he’s playing the long game and we have to hope Terry and Kim give him multiple years to see it through. Don’t agree with all of his draft picks, but I realize it’s not just him that decides that. Also whoever is deciding, knows more than me. I hope.
  2. Could you imagine if Kane was still on our team right now, what with everything else going on? At least we dodged that bullet.
  3. I think he is our future captain some day. We shouldn’t rush it, but he seemingly has some characteristics already; sting work ethic, wants to be here, sticks up for his teammates etc..
  4. Doubt it. I envision Jack calling him last night, voice cracking, red faced and screaming to “do something already”, thus the statement from Fish.
  5. How do they know when Jack is truly ready for training camp? Can he keep himself out? I don’t know how that works. Think this might get ugly, with Jack saying he can’t report and their doctors saying he can. What happens if he refuses to be evaluated by the team? Lots of questions.
  6. I think what he is saying though is that if Jack unilaterally had the surgery against the Sabres wishes.
  7. Didn’t know that but I believe you. Jack would be crazy to do that though, all that guaranteed money! That would be the ultimate putting your money where your mouth is move. But it would just be so financially irresponsible.
  8. Yeah but the goal is to clear the cap room and get pieces back. This isn’t Skinner. Getting him off the books straight up would be huge, but not Jack.
  9. True, but I fear that this stunt will be counter productive to that. I think this lowers his trade value for two reasons; it places more perceived pressure on KA, and it makes Jack look like a difficult guy to have in the locker room. Jack’s camp is literally messing with the process as of now. Last thing we need.
  10. True, but from a layman’s perspective, it can’t be as dire as some have made it out to be. I’ve even heard some talking heads and other fans talking about how it could impact his health for the rest of his life. If I remember correctly, Jack himself talked about his long term health as well (in the context of his personal life, not playing). I had a pinched nerve in my neck two years ago and it was awful. Had carpal tunnel in both hands at the same time. I can assure you, it kept me out of the gym.
  11. Isn’t he skating and posting images of gym equipment on social media? Sounds pretty healthy to me. I’m not downplaying the seriousness of a herniated disc, but his in particular seems to be improving over time based on his own activities.
  12. Was this as of today/ tonight? If so it strengthens my theory that Jack was behind the statement and that he is throwing a fit.
  13. Man I agree with everything you said. Nice profile pic too! Miss those carruba collisions. Now that was a man who wore the crest with pride.
  14. I would not be surprised if Jack demanded that some type of statement be made. Strictly conjecture obviously, but no matter what I’m sure that message was approved by him at least. The whole thing felt like an articulate temper tantrum.
  15. I seriously think Jack is a head case at this point. It was obvious, at least to me, that KA comments about being in control and not feeling any pressure was in regard to other GMs not offering enough. Jack’s camp seemed to take that as a shot across the bow against him? Why are they responding when it wasn’t addressed to him? Because he is a head case, that’s why.
  16. I know a lot of guys on here will defend Jack no matter what (or so it seems), but it’s stuff like this why so many of us are fed up with him. The man is selfish. His camp couldn’t be quiet and just let it play out? He is demanding a trade more or less, knowing that his trade value is at an all time low. I don’t think he cares about us as fans. Like at all. He’s done some admirable work for charities in the area which I will never take away from him, but this guy doesn’t care about the team that drafted him and it’s rather obvious. It is what it is I guess.
  17. Well, I mean technically everything will stem from the tank from now to eternity as there is no way of breaking the chain of events as nothing exists in a vacuum.
  18. Think this ties into wanting players who want to be here. Our fanbase is a selling point for our team. It’s been so long since we’ve been winning, younger players don’t know what this place can be like when we’re good. KA probably wants them to see how much this is a hockey town.
  19. Bridge deal, $4m for 2 years. His points are nice but he needs to player better at defense, because he’s not a forward.
  20. I can’t see KA letting something like that block that deal, but I can see TP demanding that. Just conjecture, but I can see it.
  21. Enjoying these one year contracts, keep all these players hungry. We’re already at rock bottom, the least we can do is prevent complacency. Both in Buffalo and Rochester.
  22. Yankees lineup is much more balanced now with the additions of Gallo and Rizzo. Cashman is a genius; picked up both with just prospects and both teams are retaining the salary.
  23. For me, Peters is the annoying one.
  24. Hayden is one of those guys who will stick up for his teammates, but definitely won’t “win” any fights. He kind of just grabs people and then swirls around and tries to wrestle them. It’s a start I guess.
  25. It’s not a tank but it’s going to feel like it from our perspective. As KA said, this is all about keeping cap space so we can strike when ready, and signing only 1 year deals to keep players hungry. This is a legit rebuild. Let’s just hope TP can stomach it, cause if not, KA will be fired in two years and this will just be a waste of time. Then comes the FAs and long term contracts.
