  1. The wife and I are both vaccinated but I’m still apprehensive about going anywhere that involves a large crowd. Debating whether to go to the nearby county fair even.
  2. This thread is a dad joke. Strange flex but I can dig it.
  3. And now you’re misrepresenting what I even said in regard to scoring discrepancies. Btw, I don’t think the entire point of this forum is to quarrel over anything and everything. I understand it is for some, but I don’t think that’s the entire point for it’s existence. Far as arguing with me for everything I say, how about you “miss me with that”.
  4. Okay, you win. If he gets traded soon we’ll know you were right. But if not.. Anyone else notice that all rumors have stopped since the statement?
  5. I already answered that question so it’s kind of pointless for me to repeat it. This is all speculation anyhow. I suspect that it may have put perceived pressure on KA, thus lowering the trade value. You suspect it didn’t move the needle because GMs already knew he wanted out. That’s where we are.
  6. This is a false analogy as the discrepancy between scoring displays a true winner, irregardless of play stoppage. You watch what you want and I’ll watch what I want.
  7. This really isn’t complicated, and I’m a bit surprised by the pushback. My logic is simple; in the average NFL game, it feels like the winner is determined by when the clock happens to run out since it’s so often within two touchdowns. If the Jets beat the Bills by four points in four quarters, who is to say that the Bills wouldn’t have won if the game went on longer? Close games are exciting, but not if it is all of the time. Not only are the scores to close, but the schemes feel the same as well. CFB has much more diverse playbooks. I think college football is more pure football. Disagree all you like, but there is a reason it is the second most popular sport/ league in our country behind the NFL.
  8. I think Jack will still be on our team this season, possibly all the way up til the trade deadline. Have no idea when he will be playing though due to the injury/ surgery situation.
  9. I think it may cause them to pump the brakes with finally rising to KA asking price.
  10. I don’t think you understand my position. I agree with KA not moving him. I’m simply noting that Jack is not helping the process.
  11. It means what. Not an acronym, just a way of saying their response will not even validate what they are responding to with a “what?”.
  12. Honestly the playoff are nice but I always track all the New Years Six bowl games and upsets definitely matter when determining those.
  13. It’s a disrespectful and passive aggressive way to dismiss what someone else said. Very popular nowadays.
  14. Haven’t watched it since the 90s, just remember the games always being close.
  15. NFL is the NASCAR of football. The games are always close and all the teams play similarly. The close scores may be exciting for many but I think it’s boring. I’d much rather watch CFB where true upsets are possible.
  16. Because it’s boring when the games are relatively always somewhat close. Feels like the NBA; buzzer beating wins the day rather than true dominance. What essentially wins the game is when the time runs out. To each their own but that feels arbitrary to me.
  17. College football is a far superior product anyhow. More exciting, diversification with schemes, more things to speculate and talk about etc. Granted UB is in a boring conference and Cuse was awful last year, but still. There is too much parity in the NFL, it’s boring.
  18. Information and belief; what he himself has publicly said, what insiders continue to say, and what I see with my own eyes (still no trade and Jack being frustrated). That was easy.
  19. Because where KA is and what other GMs are willing to offer is already not working. This most likely put more perceived pressure on KA, further lowering Jack’s trade value. KA isn’t going to budge, that much is obvious. Thus it’s even less likely to happen, thus it has been torpedoed.
  20. I agree with you. Think that Jack’s press statement just torpedoed any chance at a trade this off season now. I expect a trade either during the season or at next year’s trade deadline. Basically either his statement will have the opposite targeted effect or he is a maniacal genius and wants his NMC to be in place when the trade happens.
  21. We all know how good Jack is when healthy, and what he can be while healthy on a solid team. But ultimately he hasn’t done anything in the NHL but prove he can be PPG player. For someone who has never been in the playoffs (not his fault admittedly) his demands sure do come across as a bit ridiculous. Five years left on his contract and he’s acting like he’s Mark Messier or something. There were 18 centers in the NHL last season that were also PPG players. Let’s not pretend like Jack is a top 10 center. Not even sure if he is top 15 anymore.
  22. Nah, I’m saying if they wind up being our trading partners, and send a package even better than rumored with Minnesota. It would be ironic is what I’m saying.
  23. Was SJ playing him at C or LW? Imagine if this Kane situation (of all things) winds up being the turning event that changes our misfortune? Now that would be something else.
