  1. Yeah, Scotty launched upward and intentionally hit Antipin high, whiplashing his head into the boards. POS play. I hope Jack scores two PPG and Casey also gets his first on this major. Dirty play.
  2. Here’s a replay. Not good https://twitter.com/bradleygelber/status/980258300309790720?s=21
  3. That’s awesome! I only dabble in that kind of stuff- I work in the customer success department for a cloud-based SaaS company. But I know enough to be impressed ???????? Speaking of that job- it’s a new one, one that I was just promoted to earlier in the month. I’m loving it so far! And today was payday. And I had Mongolian BBQ for lunch. And the sun is shining.... it’s a good Friday ;)
  4. Crosby is at it again. Hand-eye coordination with a splash of good fortune = OT game winner.
  5. Stanton on pace for 324 homers. I say he does it.
  6. Opening day of baseball. Opening day of Casey's reign. Good day!
  7. Got the entire MLB tv package for $75 this year. Marrying a PhD student has perks when it comes to streaming sports- student discounts for yearsssssss
  8. I think what you're trying to say is that you wouldn't live with someone from Pennsylvania?? :P Some desire familiarity. Maybe Casey does, maybe he doesn't! It doesn't really matter- I'm mostly posting roommate scenarios in jest because I'm bored!
  9. Casey Nelson is a Minnesota boy. Born in Stillwater, played at Minnesota State (albeit a rival of the Golden Gophers). He's the type that wouldn't buy a house, but could share an apartment. He's my sleeper pick.
  10. Pominville bought a $900K house in Clarence last year and has ties to Minnesota... grasping at straws here. I hope he lives with Jack and Sam. Who would you want as your Sabres roommate? If you're a Sabre, who do you want as a SS roommate? :P
  11. Lauren Hall is super nice. I met her outside the arena once. My wife and I were crossing the bridge over the canalside rink and she stopped us to chat. It turned into a production piece (we won ticket upgrades and they filmed a quick video which was displayed on the scoreboard #famous). But we had a normal chat before it turned business. That was my wife's first hockey game. The Rangers whooped the Sabres. Our ticket upgrades were down behind the Rangers bench, so we were surrounded by blueshirts. But it was still fun :D
  12. Here’s something interesting. To this point, Wild Bill has exactly replicated what Matthews did last year. Only slightly fewer media mentions :P 2018 William Karlsson: 40 goals, 29 assists in 76 games 2017 Auston Matthews: 40 goals, 29 assists in 82 games
  13. McDavid just hit 100 points tonight. And followed it up with 101 for good measure. He quietly scorched past Malkin and Kucherov for the Art Ross lead over the past week. ..... if they get Dahlin
  14. I sure hope so. His birthday is 11/22. I thought I read somewhere that he wore 11 growing up because of his November birthday. But I can't find the article, so I could be making that up. 22 was always my sports number, and just an awesome jersey number IMO. Would look a hell of a lot better on Casey's back than it does on Larry's.
  15. Artemi Panarin stickhandling against his dog :) https://twitter.com/hockeycentrai/status/978334107955486721?s=21
  16. So if NS ever attends a SS meetup, he is bringing everyone a rock? I wonder what the border folks would say about a trunkful of granite. Would you declare them? I’m intrigued...
  17. If it weren't for Nolan wearing 17, maybe Casey would follow Jack's lead and wear his draft year number. Then we could retire 14 all the way through 18 some day ;)
  18. Carey Price just returned from a monthlong layoff due to a concussion. He made 34 saves on Wednesday but was beaten 5 times by the Pens (including Crosby's sick goal). Don't know if we'll get him tonight or not. A fresh Price isn't someone I want to run into....
  19. Good stuff! Maybe a long shot here... have you read any Ali Mazrui? He was a scholar- mostly African studies, but he also published works on Islam (especially political Islam). You might remember that my wedding fell during Ramadan and one of my groomsman was fasting in observance. He is the son of Ali, and most of what I know about the religion comes through his stories. I know NS is a long ways from Kenya, but figured I'd ask :D
  20. I avoid the controversy altogether by neither jogging nor running ???? But that’s an awesome video and interesting debate over the definition.
  21. What music do you play when you uber? I’m always interested in the different genres I hear. And of course there are plenty of no-music drivers.
