It’s mediocre. The butter knives is alright and goathead shoulder patch is obviously awesome. The BUFFALO written across the bottom and the grey is a bit of an eyesore. It’s mediocre. I would have done the goathead crest on a royal blue, if it was me.

I was just trying to get at the fact that you were resistant to people praising him, yet seemed extremely high on him yourself. You have basically cleared that up though. Early last season, Dahlin was not generally Buffalo’s best D, but by the end of the season, I think he was. I agree completely with everything else you said except the last paragraph, where my views diverge slightly. I know this is going to sound a little weird, but, assuming continued health, I would be legitimately surprised if Dahlin is not a hall of famer. Same for Eichel. 3-4 players go in every year for their on ice work, so it’s not THAT exclusive. I would give it more like 66-75% that he is as good or better than Hedman.

Lol. I just thought it sounded funny the way you wrote it. Didn’t mean any offense (or annoyance, lol). I get you. Is anyone saying that he is currently elite? He has been called a generational prospect, which I think is warranted. That doesn’t mean that he is elite today though.

Best 19 year old defenseman of the past 30 years, 40 years? 50 years? So you think he is on track to be a consistently top 5 (top 2-3?) D in the league or perhaps even better! What’s that? No doubt top D in the league? It honestly sounds like you are pretty dang high on him. But you don’t like it when people talk too glowingly of him??? No one here is saying that he is a Norris level guy right now. The most generous things I’ve seen people say about him are that maybe he has a good chance of putting up 60+ points next season and that he is better than Risto right now. Everything else that people say is in future tense.
-
So you don’t have any doubts that he will get better, but you won’t say that he will get better until after he actually gets better? Lol
-
Whaaaat!!!! You mean he isn’t going to score 70 goals in the NHL??? It would be a little surprising if he shot 7-8% though. Most players with good shots shoot 10%+.

Saying that a 19 year old defenseman has a long way to go is kind of a no brained thing to say. Of course he does. Are there any 19 year old defensemen out there that don’t have a loooooooooong way to go? That’s an honest question by the way.

The bolded is absolutely true. I feel like Jack got more benefit of doubt his first couple years than Dahlin has gotten from the fans.

Patty Kane for his age 32, 33, 34 seasons is not the guy that I want to trade premium long term assets and $9.5M in cap space to acquire. Yes he is good and yes he helped Chicago win 3 Cups, but please note that Chicago has not been able to get out of the 1st round since they started paying Kane and Toews $10.5M each, 5 years ago.
-
I wouldn’t trade Dahlin for Kane straight up, let alone add anything more.
-
Very true. He would be coming into camp in top, mid season form. Maybe as good a chance as he’ll ever have to grab a spot.

11 goals in 13 games. Leading Liiga in both goals and points.

Yeah, I think it makes no sense too. Covid is going to be spread by guys sitting next to each other on the bench and in the locker room, not during a body check. Who is mandating the no body checking in the OHL? Is it the League, the local health departments, the provincial government? Who are the people who hate checking in hockey? If I were to indulge in stereotypes, I doubt it is the generally old white guys who are decision makers within the OHL and government.
-
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that Cozens will be on the Sabres. Quinn might just end up playing in the OHL. He also might score over a goal per game with no checking. He could try to find a team in Europe, but spots in Europe might be tight. A lot of players have had that idea already. You don’t want Quinn just going anywhere over there. It needs to be the right situation for his development or it’s not really worth it.

Best of luck. Hope you feel better soon.

Nice. You dismissed the opportunity to find common ground with someone who agrees with you. -

I feel like you are putting too many people in one bucket. Leftists, the board, very broad strokes. This is an issue with mass social media. One person says something bombastic, and 10 million people can see it. Of course the most extreme comments get the most attention. The most extreme 5% of opinions on any topic can dominate the discussion of the subject. The “silent majority” for lack of a better term, get buried. Case in point, the bolded. How many on this board actually said this? Personally, I find Trump disgusting, and voting for him is enabling his callousness and disregard for his fellow humans, but I would never say the bolded. -
Hmm, so blue and gold butter knives jersey. Ok ok

The drug industry is highly regulated. While the vaccine candidates have been fast tracked in the sense of expedited paperwork, red tape, processing, they still need to adhere to all relevant safety and clinical trial standards. I wouldn’t be worried.

Willful refusal? Yes oops I forgot, let me go get it? No

I would imagine that the answer will be definitely yes.

I don’t believe that Trump ever showed any inclination to try to bring the country together, he consistently tried to do the opposite. That’s precisely one of the reasons for the “temper tantrums”. To try to pin the responsibility for Trump failing to bring the country together on the nations democrats would be laughable. Who is proposing communism???!!! I can understand a desire to limit immigration, but do you think that immigration of yesteryear had little impact on American culture? They tipped over the melting pot big time. Isn’t Italian/Irish/Polish/etc cultures still alive and active in America? I can certainly sympathize with you to an extent though. I do often feel like the world is changing faster than people know how to handle and it can be a bit destabilizing. -

Unfortunately, I think we will be seeing a lot of inappropriate responses to not getting ones way playing out in the streets this time too, in addition to and encouraged by the inappropriate responses from the White House itself. -
Yes, he also does bring good data and information to back up/form his opinions. Even if I don’t always agree with them.
